Wait, I knew Autumn's name sounded familiar. She was the victim in the FPS stuff, right? Awful that she got dragged back into this.

I'm trying to focus at work right now (this shit always happens when I'm at work!), but I'll probably post something in accountability later.

I will say that I don't think fighting each other helps the victims- especially the victim who feels that this is resolved. If it were me, I wouldn't want to constantly be a footnote in every article about a band. I would want to make my own decisions and move on as best I could.

Can you enlighten us as to what he did that makes him so bad, and as you say toxic waste?

They made it clear, in a subsequent post, that out of respect for the victim it's not really appropriate to do so at this time.

Read the piece, and this really seems like a situation where everyone has to draw their own line. I'll personally listen, because at the end of the day if the victim has found peace with the situation and Evan has worked on himself and respected all her wishes, then the situation has been resolved. But that's my perspective, and I wouldn't blame someone who is still uncomfortable with it. That's their choice to make.

Also it seems really dumb to bring in what Jake Ewald has to say about it when we also on the other hand have Nandi and Steph Knipe who seem more ok with it, and Jake didn't even mention anything about what Evan actually did wrong, he just mentions the Pinegrove ego train. Sounds like some personal issues rather than Jake actually caring about the situation.

Edit: Apparently Steph is not in fact ok with it, so nevermind to that last paragraph.

There are a few members of this site who I really respect who spoke out about the issues being way deeper than we even know, so I'm still unsure about that. They made it seem like they were close with one of the victims and even still being a band was against their wishes. That completely contradicts this article with both victims' statements, which leads me to believe that there were others.

The discourse around this situation has been so incredibly weird at every turn. Like, I have the information in front of me and I have no idea what to think.... about anything, really. If there are other victims that the article has completely skimmed over or has gone unaddressed by Evan/Pinegrove in the last year, it goes without saying the band should be done.

I guess the one thing that's clear is people are going to be mad/disappointed no matter what

I’ll probably listen but I can’t imagine listening to any of their music without all of this in the back of my mind. I don’t think I can ever feel the same way about it again.

  19. That Pinegrove article reads like a fucking album press release, written by a fan who can't stop letting her fandom get in the way of some actual fucking journalism. P4K once again being absolute TRASH.

Yeah. The fact that the release date of their album was tucked in the middle of a giant article in a random sentence, never mentioned in any captions where this was posted, and the fact that proceeds are going to charity really reeks of this being a huge press release.....

I absolutely understand people not wanting to listen to this band moving forward but I am going to continue to support them. That’s just where I’m at with this situation.

Someone is claiming another album will come out Q1 of 2019 on the new label. Honestly wouldn’t be surprised, I’m sure Evan wrote a lot during his down time.

Is Skylight just going to be a Bandcamp release or will it go on streaming? I wonder how all that works with the label contracts

I'm not sold on Pinegrove's return by any means but I'm not sure I'd reduce this article to a press release
