So, I spent 7 hours today working on physics homework due tomorrow and I didn't come close to finishing for one of my classes. I laugh at me from three weeks ago who though thermodynamics would be fun.

 

laughing at/hating myself from 3 weeks ago is like the main emotion i felt in college

 

I'm in a similar boat. My group needs to meet up at least once to work on a project that is due Wednesday. I've done the work I was assigned and am wanting to see what my two partners have done so we can pick the best from everything all three of us have gathered. I've been able to meet up for a week but neither of my partners has been available. We planned a meet up for tomorrow but now they are asking if we can just discuss everything online instead of in person. It's the one project grade for the semester so I'm wanting to make sure it's great but whatever.

 

Last week I e-mailed one of my profs the day of our first class saying I’d have to miss it to do work for another class and that I wouldn’t make a habit of it. Tomorrow is our second class and I’m missing it again lol

 

my teacher was sick for like a week so we never got our first draft back of our essays and now she wants us to turn in final draft on thursday but like no first draft to see what was wrong???

 

How is it that college time goes at both a glacial yet lightning fast pace at the exact same time

 

It feels way to fast and I love it so much

 

Well that was a mess

Guys I actually had to be a snitch. We all know what happens to snitches

But nah at 9 pm last night I had to finally throw my partner under the bus. She had contributed legit nothing and I was panicking and not knowing what to do. I wanted to let my professor know, to cover my own ass if she showed up with nothing.
The professor reassured me and told me to just do my part and don’t worry about anything else. So I was like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ok

When I went to bed at midnight she had done literally nothing except made a google slide doc with the title and that’s it.
Edit history shows she finished it at 3am. The night before.
Like I’m glad she finished it but it’s like how am I expected to work collaboratively when you did it in the middle of the night

 

Higher education needs a f*cking overhaul! Unpaid internship for college credit is basically paying to work. It's madness!

 

100% Especially if you're going to pursue a master degree. That's the one that really counts.

 

I hate working in groups. No one has time to get together to work at the same time so everything is slapped together vie google drive and it's a damn mess. It doesn't help when you've only got a week to do said project.

I'd rather everyone else do the work and I'll present since that's what everyone dreads the most. The reality is I end up doing the bulk of the work AND presenting!

 

Got into the CNA course that starts at the end of October. Excited but also nervous because this is really the first "real step" in getting my nursing degree.

 

Congrats dude. Does that mean you'll be working a lot and doing crazy hours without getting paid for a bit?

 

Thank you! Well I'll be certified by the end of the year to be a nursing assistant, but I plan to keep my current job until next Summer because I make pretty good money now. Next fall I'll enter the nursing program full time, and then I will quit my current job and find something as a nursing assistant. I will get paid, but I'll be taking about a 70% paycut haha. All worth it to achieve my end goal though.

 

Damn, 70%! All worth it in the end I'm sure. Hey man, nurses always get my respect. Seems like such an intense grind.

 

my history teacher does weekly homework(opens monday/due sunday) and it is the worst for me. It is a online quiz and a history document analysis. I guess most of his classes just keep doing it at the last minute that he has decided to give extra credit if you do it by thursday which is hilarious.

 

I read through like the first 15 pages and wow we’ve all come so far (despite still being stuck in the same endless cycle of worry and progress)

 

So... I had a class that ended at 11:30 this morning and didn't have another class until 5 (I normally have another class in between, but that was cancelled). At 4:30, I get an email saying the class was cancelled, after waiting around and doing nothing for 5 hours. What's really strange was that the 5:00 class was taught by the same professor as the 11:30, so I wonder what happened.

 

So I was originally going to meet up with my two partners last night because we have class tomorrow and need to present our project to our professor.

I didn’t even receive an email from either of them last night although we planned to either meet up in person or have an online discussion a few days ago. I sent them an email yesterday morning but nope.

 

this group of girls just sorta dragged me into their group despite me being super quiet and I'm so blessed for that.

 

I've always enjoyed group projects, actually. I know that's usually something that is normally only said by the group members who don't do any thing, but I think I mostly do my fair share. I just find them kind of fun.

 

I've missed three classes this week. So it begins.

 

still at A's in both classes after 6 weeks so I am pretty happy.
