OLED isn't worth the money for me though. The battery saving isn't AMAZING and I like how the display on the XR is pretty similar to my MacBook. Makes the transition less jarring.

 

OLED is worth every penny.

 

I think OLED vs LCD is not something your average person would care about...especially if they are looking for a lower-priced phone. Xr could be a hit with the young consumer base, if only for its character.

OLED is glaringly superior though, but not a deal-breaker for a lot of folks.

 

the 8 was a hugely popular phone this past year so I think that market who doesn't want to spend 1k but gets a phone that looks similar to the 1k phone will sell like hot cakes
