not a fan of pretty much anything the McElroy brothers do

 

monster factory has gotten some solid belly laughs out of me - they're very quick and good at creating absurd mini-narratives - but i dont keep up with them on even that. that's about the extent of my enjoyment, so their fanbase confuses me a lil

 

MF is amazing

 

for the most part the genre of “true crime” does not interest me

 

I find it grossly exploitative, like if that was someone I loved who was murdered and they made a show about it I'd be pissed

 

I really like forensic files but when I try to watch other true crime stuff I'm not always into it. Even FF can get exploitative like some episodes blur out the bodies but then some don't?? I guess I also used to watch Deadly Women but haven't in a long time to remember how they handled things. I just remember bad acting oop.

 

yooo so my work has started to get our pumpkins in and it just upsets me greatly because like my birthday is near the end of month. I want to be excited for that but like everyone is all HALLOWEEEN HALLOWEEN and let me enjoy my month please.

like Halloween month is a great month but damn it feels like companies are starting earlier and earlier just like Christmas now.

Also, even if you don’t typically enjoy true crime I highly suggest watching Dear Zachary if you haven’t before. Best to go in with no prior knowledge of what it’s about

 

Man. I am not ready for the inevitable holiday blues. Christmas makes me so fucking depressed lol

 

The fact that there are stores, open year round, devoted to Christmas, makes me wonder when humanity went mad. How the fuck does that store stay in business from Feb-Oct??? (Giving benefit of the doubt to January for cheap wrapping paper purchase people)

 

I do really like the Spirit Halloween stores that pop up this time of year

 

they have to use the retail space abandoned by old circuit cities for something, yo.

 

I love Halloween and Christmas seasons. Christmas should be off limits until after TG tho. Halloween is just an excuse to watch more horror movies so I'm cool with it starting in Sept

My unpopular opinion is that I am indifferent to most animals. Everyone obsesses over a cute animal and ngl I am faking it like 99% of the time. I am petting your animal while dying inside.

But I had a breakthrough last night and realized it's because I have an irrational fear of being eaten by animals. I always knew I hated flesh eating dogs but when I gave every reason for the animals I dislike, every example involved a story I've heard of them eating someone or part of someone!! Legit my friends cat last night nipped at me and after that I was NOT having it and anytime she tried nuzzling her face towards me I was like NOT TODAY DEMON.

I always wondered why I had such good reflexes when kids tried to bite me and I think it's cause I'm on the ALERT

 

I definitely don't understand people's fascination with dogs/puppies. They just aren't that cute to me
