Oooooh I like this. Even "Fuh You" which makes me smile. I like that even though he's still seeking to stay musically current he's not chasing hits and chorus white whales as much on this. He's very much in his pocket here just effortlessly making exceptionally well crafted pop.

This really surprised me, it’s a little long for me to wanna put on whenever but it’s still really good. Can’t wait to see him at ACL in a few weeks, he’s been on my concert bucket list for a while.

Very happy with this album. I feel lucky to still get to hear new great music from him, what an icon. Despite Repeated Warnings, Back To Brazil, Dominoes and Happy With You are all instant favorites for me and I feel like obvious standouts. Every song is good, I don’t even mind Fuh You. I’d say Confidante is my least favorite at the moment but still as consistently good as the rest of the album.

I like Fuh You even though I can't believe that's what a Ryan Tedder and Paul McCartney song sounds like haha

Fuh You popped up in my new music playlist from Apple, which made me check out his new album that I didn’t know about at all. Pleasantly surprised. Still going strong at 76 years old.

This has just gotten better and better for me. I keep getting Come On to Me and Fuh You stuck in my head, and there’s nothing that I don’t think is at least enjoyable.

Fuh You gets stuck in my head all the time and I love how he insists it doesn't mean what we think it means even though it so obviously does in fact mean said thing

Seeing Paul McCartney live is a godly experience I can't even explain it. It's just pure magic like nothing I've ever experienced, I know how dramatic I sound but it just is.

Sometimes I wonder what the Beatles legacy would look like if they were all still here. Would they have ended up doing some kind of reunion? Would it still feel as magical or is it part of the appeal that they truly only existed for their 10 or so years and that was that.

The rise, climax, and subsequent implosion of the band is what lends them their appeal to so many. Not doubting their greatness at all, I love the Beatles. But you can see how critics initially shit on their solo stuff because the shtick was getting old. McCartney's RAM was initially a critical flop, although it's now regarded as a classic.

That's a good question. Their cultural relevance is a strange thing to think about. How a band could be that fucking massive kind of boggles my mind. I don't think we'll see another thing like that ever.

Yea for sure, it's honestly staggering to think about. I mean they will truly never be forgotten. I just think in the age of reunion tours and anniversary performances and yadda yadda, I would just be so interested how the Beatles fit in all that. And even if they never played again but John was still alive (I'm not including George since that was so much later after the height of it), but almost everyone alive when John died would've been around for the height of Beatles mania so it's really interesting how that plays in.

Even Zeppelin, the ultimate sticklers for not tarnishing their legacy, did 2 or 3 reunion shows. Safe bet the Beatles wouldn't have stayed away.
