I don't understand people who complain about ports on Switch. I really don't. It makes complete sense from all points of view. From Nintendo, they see it as another way to get people into purchasing their console because they have the biggest and best selling games on their system. For the developers, it's a way to rerelease a game to a possible new audience and it's a way for them to make more money to fund future projects. And for the consumer you get the chance to play something you may not have had time for before or even had the chance to play and you can play it on the go.

You aren't required to buy ports. People who complain about them are complaining about the wrong things. If you wanted to complain about the pricing or maybe how awful the eShop is to find a bunch of games since so many get released at once then that's a different story.

Dude someone could cure every form of cancer with no cost and people would complain.

 

Splatoon 2 is so fun. I think it takes a while to get into it but once it clicks it becomes addicting very very quickly.

I’ve been playing Salmon Run consistently with a play group, but I’d be happy to join any group pretty much.

 

I always get the worst groups in Salmon Run

 

I love Splatoon. It used to make me sick at first with all the motion. My son loves it too. The only time I get to play now is when he needs my help. Also, sorry if you got him on your salmon run team.

 

For the record, I joked about the port but was not at all complaining! I have only owned Nintendo consoles for a long time and would love nothing more than to get to finally play all these noteworthy games

 

Started working through my backlog this weekend--finally beat the final boss of Tropical Freeze and started working through each level to get the KONG letters. Also made it to the final boss of Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon.

The Messenger has been a blast so far. Love how self aware and hilarious the game is. The shopkeeper has legitimately made me laugh out loud several times. Shovel Knight quality in execution. I've only bought a handful of games so far this year but there is an insane amount in the next couple of months I'll be getting.

 

Got Captain Toad over the weekend and really loving it. Expecting it to be done fairly quick though

idk how well it's doing exactly, but from what i understand latin american distributors aren't even bothering to bring it over to that market. my little brother had to get one on a trip here because he said no stores were selling it in chile which isn't a small market at all. that cant be a great sign.

 

I still haven't looked into it at all, idk how it even works lol.

 

This whole online thing where its coming out in a couple weeks but we have no release date still / online NES games are replacing the VC... it feels like an april fools joke that isnt ending. Like... its april 5th and the joke is still happening.

 

I read somewhere the online service kicks off on the 17th? Anyone else heard that?

 

no, nobody knows. its honestly a joke to me when you combine it with the fact that we're supposed to be excited about 20 NES games replacing the VC.

 

honestly am amazed at how no one here is taking about the messenger. its the best 2d game Ive played since shovel knight

 

I'm amazed how Nintendo still hasn't announced a date for their online service.
