Running all of these shows is really watering down the product.

 

They need to start treating them like the glorified house shows that they are. If nothing happened in SA, I doubt they'll do anything major in Australia.

Joe/AJ is headlining house shows as we speak, they basically already are doing that

 

But the problem is that they're not treating these extra events like televised house shows. They're acting like they're on the level as some of the major PPVs. Obviously they have to market it this way in order to increase network subscriptions and all, but as a fan of the product it just gets annoying when there are several 'PPVs/Network Specials' being promoted at the same time. Especially when they're already repeating matches within these specials (AJ/Joe for instance).

 

how so? Triple H cut a promo on Raw and that’s the only build we’ve had at all, and the Saudi show really only built to Roman/Lesnar. it’s taking very little time off of TV outside of the ads they run.

i agree that there’s too much programming but that’s why i don’t watch a lot of it i guess, it doesn’t like harm my enjoyment of other shows

 

also house shows don’t have matches like HHH/Cena or HHH/Undertaker. we don’t care about those but to the casual fan that’s a huge match fitting of a huge show. i’m also sure Australian fans are pretty pumped to be getting something of a higher profile.

 

They did two more segments on Monday (I believe it was) with a bunch of WWE legends talking about the HHH/Undertaker match. Plus they're having HBK come on to Raw next week to discuss it. It just feels unnecessary to push anything for the Australia show when we haven't even gotten through Hell in a Cell yet. And as far as the glorified house show/PPV comparison, I guess I should be fair and admit that I just don't feel like getting my hopes again for this 'major' event and have it be like that first Saudi show earlier this show. Were there even any title changes at that event?

i get the criticisms, but HHH/Taker is only happening on the Australia show so it’s not like throwing a wrench in the HIAC gears of elongating an existing story or something. i turned off Raw at 10 on Monday because i am old so i must’ve missed the legends stuff. maybe i’m just a mark for the big international shows.
