I just watched her on Jimmy Fallon and I'm so confused by whatever she's doing with her speaking voice.

i think this is her worst album but it's growing on me

 

there is too much pharrell and this is not as good as DW :(

 

This is not great. I didn't really find anything appealing until I got to breathin.

this was a slightly disappointing listen.
the pharrell tracks just don't really work for me, and unfortunately that makes up half the album.
the ilya/martin songs are soooo good though.
everytime - breathin - no tears might be the best three song stretch i've heard all year.
the back half is so much stronger than the front half.

What a disappointing Missy feature. That was like 8 bars all nothing?

 

So far the Pharrell tracks are pretty consistently the least impressive for me. Which is super disapppinting considering Pharrell in his prime producing for a phenomenally talented pop singer like Ariana would’ve been a slam dunk. He really fell off, huh?

 

pharrell has been a really stale producer for some time now imo

 

I can definitely get that, but even a few years ago he was still writing/producing massive hits regularly. Not saying those later hits were always fresh or original, but... I can’t even see most of the songs he produced here being hits at all honestly.
