Dear god that smash direct... this game is going to be absolutely insane.

 

I don't know what features are new or not but the morphing stage thing is pretty rad. I also like some of those multiplayer modes like the elimination of characters and the squad battle.

I dont really want to buy smash because since getting married, I dont really have anyone to play with regularly. I used to play with siblings, but my wife isnt very good at the game so she doesnt enjoy it.

But they just keep announcing the only characters Ive wanted since before Brawl. Ridley, King K Rool, Dark Samus. If they announce Skull Kid next I think I have to get it.

Yeah that’s how I feel too. I’m super excited for Smash and even Mario Party but realistically the amount of times I get to play this with friends is very slim...

Yeah I’m slightly bummed that it’s Simon and not Alucard lol but aside from that, that was an awesome direct and I can’t wait

 

I'm not sure if this has been discussed, do a lot of these characters need to be unlocked? Or you just get them right away? Gotta be alot of unlockables i'd imagine.

I think at E3 they confirmed that you start with the original 8 characters from the N64 version and that you unlock the rest

this is actually the thing thats selling me the most on this game. i really miss fighting games doing this.

 

Yeah, unlockables are such a satisfying and fun thing to have in a game. When it's all just there for you from the get go, it's just flat to me.
