I'd expect to see "You In This Light" and "End of Reel" in the setlist.

 

Yeah 9:55 sounds right, but idk what else they would have played really, maybe discomfort since it was subbed for in framing, but still 13 songs like the other dates. Also the analog doesn't have a strict 11pm curfew upstairs for all ages shows, so really they could have played as long as they wanted which would have been rad.

Great show though, was super super impressed by Loone, they were so good

edit: or opening mail instead of two deliverances which I'm actually super happy they played the latter instead

 

Seriously what an amazing essay. Been thinking about the transcendentalist themes only subconsciously throughout my listens and you put words to all my feelings and thoughts. Really great stuff man

I don't know if I can pick favorite lyrics, but there are parts of every song that randomly pop into my head, including the lullaby from the 2 interludes:

soft animal and sun are way more similar guitar wise than I originally thought. Songs are so different too

Listened to this 4 times today. Just keeps getting better.

 

Loving the positive vibes on this album. Also went back and listened to Home, and I still absolutely love Housebroken melodically.

 

I listened twice, back to back, testing out 2 different pairs of headphones to see which I like better.

Plan to do the same with new Thrice and Gates tomorrow.

 

Still can't stop listening. I feel like I have a new favorite everyday.

 

I am in love with Goodness Pt 2 right now. I can't wait to sing along to that melody tonight

 

I don't know if a song has ever consistently wrecked me more than Opening Mail has

I can't believe I saw this band live the other night. What an expirience. I wish I could re-live that.

 

Me too. Sometimes I binge a band before I see them live and once that's over, I go back to listening to other things...but I've been still listening non stop

I just want to see them again asap

 

Worst part about this album is that it came out as the same time as other great music. Saosin and Thrice are dominating my commute only because goodness is too peaceful and begs to be listened to at home with headphones

 

And now is the unbearable waiting between doors and the first band. My twitter tl isn't busy and I don't know what to do with myself

 

Has anyone's vinyl preorder shipped yet? Mine hasn't.

 

Solid set list. I'd really love to see You In this Light and Goodness pt. 1 in there.

 

On the Tiny Engines website it says they should start shipping the week of 6/6.

 

Unfortunately had to miss their set in SF tonight. Will have to catch them the next time around. I'm a little late to the thread, but goddamn that album closer is just fantastic. Have they talked about what they were going for lyrically with that song? Seemed to me to be about not being able to shake the thought of someone.

 

they were really incredible tonight. Christian said they'll probably/are gonna be back later this year!
