Apparently Newcastle have activated the 3m release clause for Fabian Schar.

It's his weak spot. Our approach to it doesnt make sense. If we sign a RB, we're as well as returning to 4-2-3-1 which would move Edouard out left or if we persist with 3-5-2 then we need a CB, and a second CB if Boyata isn't staying.

Scottish journalists reporting Celtic are going to sign Daniel Arzani on 2 year loan deal from our favourite friends Man City (who are transferring him from Melbourne and straight out on loan). He looked good at the world cup, looks a similar replacement for Paddy.

    We should've went for Schar.

Nice info. And i hope you know Schar's stock has really fallen over these last few years, there is a reason Deportivo (where he was bench fodder last season) only want £3m. That said, the Scottish league could well suit his skillset. No offence.

Toby Alderweireld seeking legal advice from his agent in regards to finding a loophole in his contract. That is according to HLN anyways #forcingamove

I don't entirely know why Rafa seemed to hate Mbemba so much. He actually looked quite good a lot of the time. Unsure what he did to get benched.

Odsonne Edouard is going to cost a club a lot of money one day. Until that time I'll love him forever. Tam was back too tonight, didn't do much.

We could've easily scored 7 or 8 tonight but we'll settle for 3-1 after being 1-0 down. Really great performance, second half especially.

I like how the players we have could easily cost millions if they played in a higher league. Edouard was phenomenal and I did say here earlier that losing Dembele wasn't as bad since we had him.

First half I thought, fuck; typical Celtic but the second half was great.

One of the weakest red cards I've ever seen was issued to Houston tonight...AFTER a fucking VAR review.

Absolute joke of a call. Completely cost us a game in which we were in control.

  16. Missed the game but Llorente scoring two goals is kinda funny.

  17. Roma defense was very bad early on. Lucas looked good.

That was the rumour, but he was hardly a maverick on the pitch. Whenever Rafa did play him, he was using him in cover for positions he doesn't know how to play (like full back). Shame really, I think he could have been a really solid player for us. Maybe he just looked good in the shit show that was Mclaren's tenure.

I'd be quite happy for Man Utd to get Maguire. Thought he showed good spirit at the World Cup and we are in desperate need of a good centre half.

Schar signing for Newcastle is a wait-and-see. Was good last time I seen him but that was with Basel. Doesn't seem to have done anything in the last few years. The signing of Muto from Mainz is fantastic. He's been doing pretty well there.

It's concerning that we seem to be really gambling again. We've not signed anyone for competitive money (£4m for Dubrovka, £3.5 for Schar, £9.5m for Muto) and we're not bringing in anyone who looks like a definite hit out of the box. We wouldn't even pay up for Kennedy, despite him being so good on loan and have instead loaned him again.

We also keep being linked with Rondon, which I'm really not sure on. Desperately need some more fullback options (would love us to try to grab Luke Shaw) and probably need another creative midfield player. The squad overall is paper thin and crying out for some solid reinforcements. I'm not talking world beaters, but just people who can come in and add some quality to what's there.

Exactly, I feel like these are players that haven't really proved themselves recently and the gamble could either be really good or just fuck it up entirely.

We also got Ki (I think is his name) on a free from Swansea. Not a clue what the purpose of that was. Not entirely convinced that Ashley isn't just looking to flog more shit in East Asia. That's not meant to be a reflection on the two players (I know little about either), but it sounds like the sort of shit bag thing he'd do.
