Rareform is great, but I actually prefer Forging A Future Self. Probably has something to do with nostalgia, but whatever.

I'll probably be at the Rareform 10 year tour though.

Happy Tuesday, y'all. Here's some random stuff that I've been listening to today:

The new Churchburn album is absolutely crushing - they play heavy doom/sludge with death and black metal influences and feature an ex-member of Vital Remains on vox. FFO Primitive Man, Coffinworm. Check it out.

Here's a new demo from a new Canadian grind act, Cemetery Cursive. I dig it a lot.

Here's a few tracks from Iron Void's new album that makes we want to ride a valkyrie into the sunset. FFO epic doom ala Candlemass and Electric Wizard.

Just to spam about how awesome this album is even more - the new Mutilation Rites album is absolutely crushing. That is all.

The sad songs are the best songs on that album (other than A Horse Called Golgotha). Just not in the mood for them?

I guess Acephalix dropped off the tour with Pestilence because the latter's vocalist said some racist stuff and is also a Fox News loving Trump supporter. More at 11

Pestilence is probably the weakest of the old-school death metal pantheon anyway.

Their first couple releases with Martin Van Drunen are pretty great though...everything since has been okay at best since. I meant to check out their release from earlier this year, but I guess I can cross that one off my list now though.

Noisem and Sick/Tired tomorrow night. It's been a while since I've been to a show on a Thursday.

as a general rule i follow, i never look at the comments on a music related website unless it's here or one of the genre subreddits. my life is better and more fulfilling as a result.

Also, might be able to go see Weedeater in my area soon. Have no knowledge of them or their music. What do y'all think, worth it?

I'm no expert on nameology but I will venture to guess that they are of the stoner doom variety

Depends if you like nasty stoner sludge with a dude named Dixie screaming on the top of his lungs. I'm not a huge fan, but that's because I haven't listened to them much.

Here's their supposed best album (God Luck and Good Speed) and a track they put out about doughnuts. Enjoy.

I, in particular, always hate that excuse. As if having a partner of another race makes you immune from having racist ideals. I mean, plenty of shitty white men have girlfriends/wives/boyfriends/husbands/etc that are minorities, and they have racist stereotypes and beliefs about people of that very same race. Things about being submissive and other untrue nonsense. God, I hate men sometimes. Most of the time, really.
