U Talkin U2 To Me and REM Re Me?

 

U2 is one of those bands that before I became extremely online I just assumed everyone loved, like when you find out that people have visceral hatred for The Doors and Jim Morrison

 

what is there to hate about spiraling delay pedals and droning bass lines? don't people eat that shit up these days

 

The Joshua Tree is an amazing album.

Damn maybe my unpopular U2 opinion is that I have virtually no opinion on them

 

Jane Doe is the only good Converge album.

 

I don't even really like Converge all that much. Nothing in their discography stood out to me to make me return to it past a couple listens.

I’d be way more into Converge if they laid off the vocal distortion

 

They’re one of the most consistent bands out there to me, and I’m not even a huge fan of heavy music.

 

If you want consistency in heavy music, look to ETID.

(If The Chariot were still a band, their track record would continue to be flawless.)

 

I listen to ETID’s last two releases more than any Converge album probably, but I think Converge from JD on is a stronger run than ETID’s discography.

 

ETID is great, but I think Dillinger Escape Plan was the most consistent.

 

I’ve only heard The Chariot’s last two albums and both are excellent. I don’t think I’ve heard DEP

 

DEP has multiple crazy solid albums. Miss Machine or Option Paralysis are my suggestions if you’re interested.

The Chariot ruled and their last album I think isn’t probably their best.

 

DEP are also one of the best live bands ever.

Death Chorus is the best PBC album

 

WLWYCD is one of PBC’s best songs, but that is one spicy take.
