  1. Seems six is the most predicted number. I don't think it goes six unless Green gets a flagrant and misses a game.

Totally forgot LeBron averaged nearly 40 per game last year. Not convinced he shouldn't have won Finals MVP.

i'm writing a book, leave me alone.

The obvious main focal point would be, "his team lost the series", while the award of course is for outstanding player, singular.

My question would be: would a player accept an MVP award for a series / game they lost? Would they see it as a slap in the face or a cheap, valueless award? I think I would, personally. It'd be like: "Oh man, we lost the world championship guys... but yay! I'm MVP!" Losing the championship would be bad enough, I think being awarded MVP "of losing" (as I'd see it) would only be the knife jabbing in further.

Someone could also see it as, "this proves I did everything in my power to help us win" but I don't think that would really much to most, nor would they need an MVP to validate their efforts.

Not to mention how awkward that presentation could be, haha.

Not to mention - it'd be incredibly disrespectful to the rest of his teammates to even award it to the best player on a losing team

  8. If we didn't see it last year, I doubt it. Although I think we should. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I just wish we could get a Zach Lowe-Bill Simmons pod for this finals :/

Can't discount the difference between losing four games in a series by 18 total points ('69, nice) and losing the series by 50 total points ('15), even with an OT game. How they lose will, and should, play a role in any conversation about a potential Finals MVP, no matter what their individual numbers are.

Seems like Silas is staying with charlotte until the warriors win the championship and hire him

I'm curious to see how much Lue ends up using Love in crunch time.

  17. Line is 6. I think GS wins by 15 tonight. It'll be close until the 3rd quarter.

Draymond's gonna be yapping all night.

If Cavs play well ( JR, Love, Kyrie) then I think they have a pretty solid offensive output to stay close or even win against the Dubs. Lebron will be lebron.

If they go on a shooting spree it'll be amazing.

Atlanta and Philadelphia are discussing a deal centered on a Jeff Teague and Nerlens Noel package, league sources tell The Vertical.

I love Steph, but I want nothing more than the Cavs to win tonight and every other game.

I really want to see LeBron bring a championship to that city.

Kent, Ohio is pretty much all in wine and gold today. Yesterday when I went to a Cleveland Indians game everyone was all about the Cavs. There's certainly no shortage of passion. I actually kind of feel like Golden State might fall into that complacent lull early on. Hope the cavs keep it together.
That being said, I'm just happy no one is injured this finals.

Kyrie needs to have an unbelievable series and Cleveland can't shoot under 45% from 3pt-line in a game if they want a shot at winning. Would love to see them pull it off.

Think Cavs in 7. Lebron wills them to win.

  25. I hope Curry gets some Cam Newton curse. It worked for my Broncos.
