They are at the point where there are so many bangers that it's tough to put the set list together. I think they did a nice job. Excited to see what changes on the next tour.

I can’t wait to hear “Flowers” and “Heaven’s Gate” live!

I’d be surprised if they ever make it into a set list.

I still haven’t liked NCTH songs when I’ve seen them live

I’m glad the set gets two bad ones out of the way early

Fuck, I really, really want that football shirt collab they've been posting about recently. Limited batch are going on sale tomorrow but I'm at work when they go up. No way do they last till I get home

I’ve had no desire to come back to this since my first few listens which is a shame because I really wanted to like it

Agreed. I come back to it every few weeks hoping to like it, but it's just entirely forgettable to me.

I think this summer heat is messing with your brains, cause y’all are talking crazy right now.

its winter down here unfortunately, "It Must Get Lonely" grabbed me the most but nothing else stood out too much

The Ocean Grew Hands to Hold Me is the one that really stands out to me. I’m just not huge on how the record sounds.

So this is rambly and has nothing to do with the subject at hand but I received my autism diagnosis last week (I mean, I'd already been told, but now I have a fancy paper and checklist to show for it) and I was thinking about how a lot of why I even sought the diagnosis in the first place was the way TWY's lyrics resonated with me in a way that no other piece of media had ever done, or has ever done since. There, There, in particular, was the big "oh wow" moment. I know a lot of people identify with it because it also fits the description of social anxiety, and depression, and a whole array of stuff, but for me it was, and still is, a song about being autistic.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say here is that it was after realising that the only thing I identified with was a portfolio of songs about being weird that I started looking into autism symptoms, at like, age 19 a few years back. So it's kind of thanks to TWY that I can now go back to university with a plan of attack and accommodations to succeed, which is pretty tight.
I also had the chance to talk about it with Dan back on the UK tour, which was great, and comforting, and it feels good to feel invested in the art of someone who gets it.

Not sure why I'm sharing that but I've been sitting on that thought for a while and this thread just came back up so yall get to read this

Also to actually talk about sister cities I actually love the album but I feel like it's more of an end of summer OR winter album. It's got a high emotional charge like NCTH which makes it less listenable than Suburbia but it does have individually playable songs which I listen to casually.
Also it's illegal for me to dislike it because I played the tiniest of parts in it cause I coached Dan on how to pronounce Montmartre back at 2000 Trees 2017

TWY aren't really a summer band imo, at least post-Upsides

yeh, apart from some Suburbia songs and b-sides, they aint really the Sound Of The Summer. They're a good band to play when you're walking home from work and it's fucking freezing

They’ve always been a beginning of fall band for me

I agree that sister cities is like very emotionally charged, It’s intense which makes it hard to listen causally and I have to be in a mood but when I am able to it’s cathrstic and brilliant, I still need to spend more time with a couple songs like orange grove and when the blue finally came. They’re a band in general that with new music I’ll get stuck on 3-4 songs I can’t stop listening to for a few weeks before cycling to a new set
