I just realized this album doesn't have a thread yet and that felt wrong. I'm really looking forward to this one. The Night Thinker EP was great and I've really enjoyed the songs released from the album so far.

 

Adore is gonna be on the album? That came out like 3 years ago lol

Yea I mean I think it was a pretty massive hit for her (in Australia at least) so it makes sense to include it on her debut from a marketing standpoint. Definitely a little strange though haha

 

Ahhhh the final chorus of Psycho where she shouts it is so good. I wish they repeated it a few times.

 

Yeah I was really hoping it would kick in a lot heavier but the shouting is still cool. Good song.

Loved her Night Thinker EP and thus far I’m loving this new album too.

I’m up to track 11 on my first listen through the album and thus far it keeps getting better with every track. Such a well rounded album.

 

Update: I finished the album and now have listened through it a second time and am on my third run through.

I love this album. This has the potential to end up my album of the year and I honestly at the very least cannot see it being kicked out of the top 10 by years end.

 

I still need to listen but I think I'm going to save it for the drive home from work because it feels like it deserves more respect than a listen at work.

 

new fan after Psycho. just listened to the full album, not my usual style, but I really like this and i'll be putting it on for a second run through for my commute home.

 

Gonna have to give this more listens. Enjoyed it somewhat but I think it'll be a grower.

 

Ahh that closing track. Chills.

 

This has leapt strongly ahead of Brian Fallon for my album of the year.

Psycho has me hoping that this isn’t just a one off collaboration with Mark Hoppus. Their voices work so good together.

All Loved Up is like Tegan & Sara, Bleachers, and the one backing part of Konstantine (3:50 in) all mixed together. It’s perfect.

Mark sounds great on Psycho and the riff on Mess Her Up kinda sounds like What's My Age Again haha

 

I got to meet her yesterday and have my CD signed / got a photo so that was pretty neat.
Love the album, the back half in particular is incredible.
