2019 would be cruel to Jabari. He'd get squeezed out because there's way more talent ahead of him.

 

I mean, if he plays well he won’t be.

And more teams will have money in 2019. And the cap is gonna go up to 108, a not insignificant jump.

If he is intent on betting on himself, might as well do it sooner rather than later I would think.

Yes, a $7 million dollar cap increase is absolutely the same as a $22 million dollar cap increase.

Or, put in starker terms, a 7% cap increase is definitely the same as a 31% cap increase.

I like Evan Turner fine. Loved him when he was with Boston. But he's incredibly overpaid. That contract was egregious from the moment he signed it, which, good for him. Get the cash you can. Maybe throw Brad Stevens a tip as a thanks lol.
