I am so glad Neymar is out. He's an absolute embarrassment to the sport with his behavior. It would be so easy to penalize players after the fact but FIFA just refuses to do anything.

Yes. I wasn't able to be on my phone during the first half but yes. And it was glorious. Saw him running up the side was hoping they'd give him an opportunity to touch the ball on his eventual goal.

 

De Bruyne, Lukaku and Hazard were so good in the first half. Excellent performance.

I'm pleased Neymar has lost and is out. His diving is atrocious and disappointing. His attitude makes him incredibly unlikeable. No loss to the tournament.

Nope. Walker, Henderson, Lingard & Loftus-Cheek-Cheek have all been booked and would miss the semi if they were booked again (and of course if we get through).

 

Damn, when you actually look at the teams still in, it's mental.

The final will be:

France or Belgium, playing any of Croatia, Russia, England or Sweden.

That is truly mad, and unless France win, you'd have to say it's going to be a breath of fresh air in terms of the winner, and even they have only won it once, 20 years ago at home.

Nerves are kicking in now. Biggest England game in my lifetime. I think we stand a pretty good chance, but this Sweden team shouldn't be underestimated. You don't take Germany all the way and reach a WC quarter final by being pushovers.

Southgate needs to freshen the squad up after the last game too. Really want to see Rashford start, and Alli needs dropping. I don't know whether it's cause he's half fit or what, but he's offered very little so far. Henderson is low key one of the most important members of the team too, so it'll be interesting to see at what point he gets taken off to protect if we're winning.

 

I think dropping Dele for Rashford could be beneficial. I don’t think Dele is fully fit.

 

Yeah I’d drop him for either rashford or loftus-cheek depending on how we set up. Then bring him on for some pace later on.
