Title speculation: Star Wars: Episode IX: Origins of Snoke And then it never mentions him. Please do this JJ.

I just want to feel as exhilarated and surprised as I was watching TLJ. Rian Johnson really cleared the slate, and I really hope it pushes Abrams creatively outside of the box

I'm not sure if Abrams can commit to doing something "out there" in general, much less as the capper to a new trilogy for Star Wars.

    I hope I'm wrong.

I doubt this will be as different and wonderfully strange as TLJ, but trust that JJ will make a fun movie. Just please no super weapon.

Thats what I think is going to happen. Ive said this before but I truly believe that after seeing how Rian broke the mold of the traditional Star Wars and seeing him play with this universe in the most creative and unique ways we've seen (both from a mythological/thematic/visual standpoint), creators like JJ are inspired by that ingenuity and are pushed to be more creative themselves and push it even more.

I think JJ did brilliantly for Force Awakens, but he probably has a chip on his shoulder for being known as "rehashing" A New Hope and having a poor reputation for finishing off his stories

With those three things combined, I imagine JJ has been working night and day to make this the best Star Wars ever. Im so excited to see what all those dynamics manifest into.

So now that weve had time to think about it.... do we think Rey’s vision of The Knights of Ren was a premonition of the future?

iirc, kylo has his mask on in her vision, and he has since destroyed that, so, i think probably not.
