The Lawrence Arms did one Warped Tour, but got banned after their last show for the tour. I forget some of the specifics, but Kevin Lyman, a the A&R guy that got JEW and many others signed, and some other label decided to watch TLA on main stage since they were getting a lot buzz and had several industry friends (Alkaline Trio just to start). On an exceptionally hot day, Brendan made a comment/joke/ about the lack of water or something due to the heat. The general quote is in interviews somewhere, but it caused them to not be signed. After that experience, Brendan commented further about the negatives of the tour and the band got banned.

Mel B. actually confirmed that they will be playing some shows, so if this is real I will never stop laughing/smiling. Spice Girls reunion would be PEAK Riot Fest.

I'm super glad that I ended up not buying any tickets to this though, because now I've added Paul Simon on 9/22 in Queens and there is no way I would have had the energy to do both of those plus give up Jawbreaker.

The other B. Kelly project playing Riot Fest could be The Falcon...I'm surprised I haven't seen that thrown around here as a possibility yet.

We Came as Romans listed Riot Fest as a date (well, a range of dates) on part of their upcoming tour with Bullet for My Valentine on their Facebook announcement, but it's not on that tour's official site.

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

Steve Soto passing is a very tragic loss. I’ve heard he was a very lovely man. So sad

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

Steve seemed like a really great guy when I watched the Adolescents at Warped Tour 2017. He let a bunch of small kids that were sidestage come up and use his mic to sing during Amoeba.

    RIP.

especially if the fucking spice girls show up. which seems like a hilarious pipe dream in the darkest timeline when you consider the first Riot Fest lineup:

If that wasn’t the same weekend as Mo Pop I’d be all over that.

Third headliner is brand new. Blink, Beck, brand new. And the person in here that said itd be scary, was the reactions of people that brand new is headlining. 2nd wave will be announced when brand news final dates are announced(very soon).

Where the hell are you getting that information? I know the Riot Fest folks are a bit tone deaf after booking Jerry Lee Lewis, but you'd really think they'd risk the backlash of booking Brand New? I can't speak for others, but booking them is a good way to get me to not go to the fest or any aftershows this year...
