DNCE are so cute and fun! I tried getting into their non-Cake By The Ocean songs and didn't like the one I heard (Toothbrush) but it grew on me and listening to their songs on Spotify they are so cute. It sounds like they have a lot of fun making the songs and it shows through.

 

I think Cake By The Ocean is a damn good pop song.

 

I jumped on it late and just started loving it like a month ago so I'm annoying everyone by playing it constantly when they're over it already lol

 

The new Calvin Harris/Rihanna song is growing on me.

 

I don't cape for Lotus but this video is everything I love about Xtina which is tacky and man-hating!

I'm probably way late on this but I am loving Troye Sivan. I saw him perform on the Billboard awards last week and I knew I had heard Youth somewhere but couldn't place it. Then I went off to listen to more of his stuff and Blue Neighbourhood is great.

 

Someone hacked Katy Perry's twitter and ended up leaking a song called Witness and it was actually pretty good, surprisingly not generic

I like Toothbrush okay but I don't see it as a song of the summer. I really like picking my own song of the summer. idk why but it's like my favorite thing every year.

 

My vote is for "Handclap", even though the chance of an alt-radio song being song of the summer is almost non-existent.

 

honestly i know its been out for like four months but i would push for work from home. i dont see anything else get the kind of reaction that song does when it drops.

I take song of summer too seriously lol. I was so distraught when ppl were trying to say Bad Blood was song of the summer like no. It can't just be a successful song that happens to be out in summer. It needs the summer vibes! My picks are usually Latin songs tho cause they always feel more summery to me. From mainstream radio I think I'm too behind rn to pick

 

That's the only song on the radio that leads to me changing the station ASAP :D

i honestly have a lot of trouble differentiating their voices on record, is camilla the one who put out that single with some bro a while back?

 

yea I don't like her voice and before she hit it big she would say super racist things and was one of those racist against Zayn One Direction fans who would tell him he needs to go back to Mexico (???). Which I'm sure she's hopefully grown since then but she has a stank attitude and doesn't seem to like even being in a girl group so I need her negative energy gone!

 

She's got all the makings of "going solo" asap
