So does this make BMTTS the soundtrack to a documentary?

Everyone in this thread probably listens to this band more than me, I can almost guarantee it.

The thing I am most excited to see in the documentary is early versions of the songs/jamming them out and also how the drums sounded in-studio before they were treated in post-production, specifically "The Wolf".

yea, I remember in an interview someone asked Andy if they were worried about performing the new songs live.. and he said something like most of the album was tracked live and then everything was added after.. I really want to see what that process was like..

I thought I heard AH on Sirus back when SM was released introduce the record as an album about his “near divorce”

Playing my mean everything to nothing vinyl now, love that album. @ManchesterOrch8 which one is the best sounding pressing? I have the 4th, think it’s pretty clear and the mids and highs seem to have a ton of definition. Not my loudest record though, really need to crank it to get it to where I want.

I create content for some of your favorite artists

I remember reading Andy said Simple Math was a conversation between his wife (possible girlfriend at the time) and god, and it was an argument and it all got jumbled up that he didn't know which one he's speaking with at any given moment in the songs

Andy Hull, the band's lyricist and vocalist, has said that Simple Math is a concept album, telling a story from his own perspective; "It's a story about a 23-year old who questions everything from marriage to love to religion to sex. Sometimes even for myself, it’s difficult to decipher which one I’m actually talking to. Everything I’ve written in the past has been about those things. This album is the most realized form of my questioning."

To my ear, they all sound fine. They used the same plates on each, to my knowledge.

It's a mixed bag, it seems for the Black Miles presses. I had no issues, but it seems others did.

Final question "I saw you a few years ago and you played Play Crack the Sky with Jesse Lacey. Any chance you and Jesse team up again in the future?"

Andy: "uh....NO". Everyone starts laughing and clapping.

    The evening concludes.

The beginning of Leave it Alone makes me emotional every time and I don’t even know why.
