  1. The broke the regular season record and now are in the finals. I don't get the point of constantly trying to defend MJ. Just let a team be great.

  2. In 2016 more kids know him as Crying Jordan than know he was the best basketball player of all time.

the same kids who didn't know who Paul McCartney was when he sang that song with Kanye.

  4. They are great. But they're not the best team of all time. I don't get why you care that others care about that? If you don't, fine, but after watching basketball for 20 years I like the history and what it all means. 86 Celts, 96 Bulls were better teams. Has nothing to do with MJ, has to do with looking at the history of basketball ...

i've never seen a Billy Donavan press conference but how he's acting / speaking kind of bugs me. doesn't seem very unhappy about losing the series. speaks very well and is saying correct things, but strikes me as a business presentation speech, not a coach who just lost a trip to finals after being up 3-1.

He doesn't and shouldn't have to show any kind of emotion to the press. What he said behind closed doors was probably much different.

The NFC and AFC have no logical structure and are essentially an anachronism nowadays. It's not like the AFC or NFC have some kind of identity, it's just a random assortment of teams throughout the country. Like why are the Raiders of Oakland and the Dolphins of Miami both in the AFC? Its not a big deal though.

true. i just love me some, "WE LET 'EM OFF THE HOOK! YOU WANNA CROWN THEIR ASS, THEN CROWN 'EM!" moments

  11. I never said they were the greatest ever. I just hate the constant "but the Bulls/MJ did this" anytime another player or team does something. It's annoying.

I get what you mean. I think with the long layoff time between games it is not a big deal for Dolphins, for example, to regularly make the trip out west for intraleague games. But this is not a real reason to support the structure and shit I'm tired and don't know that I'm talking about right now.

At least Tampa Bay isn't in the NFC North anymore, haha.

When I was kid I would re-organize all the sports divisions to try and make more sense than what most are.

    It's alright gang,
At least we won't have to live with the crippling guilt of knowing we rooted for Draymond to succeed

  16. But people did say they were the greatest ever, that's why it was brought up ...

There are two extremes of sports fans. This exchange is only proving that.

Was cheering for OKC, now I just want a fun Finals.

  20. There is never going to be a definitive answer to these "greatest team ever" debates. That's the real frustrating part: not whichever side you take, but that anyone thinks you're going to prove it in any scenario. It's just noise.
this is the real 'who cares' moment, though

No chance. Cleveland were in a strong position to beat them last season without Kyrie and Love. Now add Frye. Just need LeBron to (continue) go nuts again

Yeah, it's all just a bit silly at times. It would be nice for it to all be layed out more logically but it's not the end of the world. It is just sort of a pet peeve of mine.

any chance this is all GSW has left? that was a draining series for them and setting up for the Finals i know they'll be prepared but hopefully they aren't. the issue, like others have pointed out, is that all they need is one guy to just start chucking threes for a quarter to get them back / win the game for them.

Wait a second...people actually think that Channing Frye is good?
