Maguire is making too many mistakes, as is Walker. There's zero movement from Sterling or Kane when we have the ball, midfield is pretty anonymous too. Need to take some chances though. Tunisia are playing well after a bad start.

 

Kane definitely should have had a penalty. Assume the ref thought it was six of one, but hot it wrong

 

They did a VAR review on that Kane suplex and decided no penalty. Don't understand that at all.

 

I'd like to see it again, missed the real time view and only caught the tail end of a replay but looked stonewall on that.

 

God I hate this "soft penalty" nonsense. It's a foul in the box, it's a pen. Them's the rules. The forward didn't walk into the challenge, Walker's arm shouldn't have been there. Blatant England bias.

Maybe if they started awarding "five or six penalties a game" like the pundits always fear, then defenders might stop doing stupid things.

The Kane suplex is fucked up, and that is a poor officiating decision. The only thing I can think of is they thought Kane was going down already, or they genuinely didn't see it.

 

That last one on Kane would be called a high tackle in rugby these days.
