gf and i picked up Don’t Starve Together for a night in and she is fucking unbelievably good and i am very very bad

I just beat Golf Story. A solid 7.5. Some really annoying glitches and some awkward parts, but mostly really enjoyable. Nice blend of golf and RPG mechanics.

 

It's so boring. I'd quit Now if I were you.

 

Just started Darksiders II. This is actually exactly what I was looking for combat-wise, and I'm already blown away by the lore and world building. Seems like the perfect thing to juggle alongside Life is Strange: Before the Storm (and any other Telltale-y game I might want to start after that).

 

I'm starting another playthrough of The Last Of Us. With we could just turn emotions off cause i'm gonna wail again.

 

I don't know what game I want to start next. Maybe Spirit Tracks for DS.

Anyone else here play that many hours a week? and would you say you are addicted to gaming? I know I play more than that a week but certainly wouldn't call myself an addict.

 

When I get on a roll and really into a game? Probably. I'm sure I did that easily with Runescape back in the day even.

 

I definitely play more than that a week, but it doesn't control my life. I do other things and go outside, have friends and such. I think when it's a need, an overwhelming compulsion that drastically impacts the way they function in life that someone should be worried.

I think things like this are just adding to negative views on the community which is really shit. A lot of reviewers for games play more than 20 hours a week. Are they addicted? It's their jobs. Just like if you bake for a living you do it for more than 20 hours a week. "Somebody take me away from the kitchen, I just need to make one more apple tart."

It's just juvenile and stupid.

 

I'll play more than that some weeks, but I'm definitely not an addict. I swear some people would prefer that we stared at the wall constantly...

 

I dont understand it. If I went around to people who read a lot of books and said "you're addicted, it'll rot your brain!" People would look at me like I'm fucking mental. It's the same with people who listen to tons of music or do anything else. You can have a healthy investment into something. It's not just "video games are bad and contribute nothing," because you can't blanket statement a whole industry like that.

 

I'm not addicted, I'm fucking bored.

 

For some reason a lot of older people think playing video games is bad and addicting but coming home from work and watching tv for the rest of the night isn’t

Fuuuuuuuck I’ve been playing Metroid Prime 3 all day and I just lost like 2 hours of progress because the power went out on my block. Don’t know if I have the will to re-play that lol.
