And by natural motion, I guess I was meaning not intentional. He was making a basketball move and caught someone in the jaw. He wasn't swinging his elbows with the intentions of hitting him.

Flagrant doesn't have to be determined to be intentional, just "unnecessary contact."

 

Yeah that's what I don't get, I woulda said common offensive foul, not flagrant, cause I would assume intent matters to some degree? Even though they said Green sent intentional and still went Flag 2.

I'd have less issue with it being just "unnecessary contact" if there was a clear set of rules on what fell into the category. If every elbow or knee was considered unnecessary contact and was always called a flagrant, I wouldn't mind, but it becomes sketchy when they call some and not others.

 

During times like these, I miss having Kendrick Perkins around to go in for 2 minutes of unapologetic fouling.
