The guy was battling addiction...im sure he didn't want millions of people knowing. It's different to leave tour for that instead of leaving tour for the birth of your child. I'm just glad he's doing well and everything is good between them. Ready for some heavy/hardcore stuff from him and hopefully he rejoins them on stage soon.

I mean the premature birth of adam’s child meant they nearly lost the baby and possibly his wife. So it wasn’t JUST the birth of their child.

Wrecked 'em? Damn near killed 'em!

It'll be interesting to see what direction TBS's music goes in now that he's gone because his M.O. was writing their bridges and outros I think

My take has always been that I think it would have been appropriate to at least say something like 'After 15 years of nonstop touring, Eddie has decided to take some personal time away from the band.' That's not getting into any details and it's not suggesting anything is wrong.

Given the tumultuous history of the band, I would think they'd want to clear up any rumors and stay in front of it. During their tours throughout the past 2 years or so, if you ever did a Twitter search of Eddie Reyes, there were dozens of tweets after each show to the tune of 'where was Eddie tonight?' Again, with the revolving door this band has had with band members, it's fair for fans to wonder what's going on. In addition, he stopped being active on Twitter right around the time Tidal Wave came out and wasn't promoting anything TBS related (I think he eventually promoted a few shows here and there over the next two years)

I don't know, I'm a PR person (literally, it's what I do for a living) so I always use the approach that it's best to be up front with everyone (again not saying they need to go into detail - but at least an acknowledgement of founder of band not at most shows) - or at the very least, say something to dispel any rumors.

Also, throughout this entire time (when this had been talked about in this thread), I always said I assumed he was done and I expected an announcement soon.

    so this is random.

mark just randomly posted an IG video of a show....and the audio is an old unreleased demo. sounds like something from self-titled times.

Is it possible it’s a new demo? I have thought it was weird that he has been posting show footage, with studio/album version songs playing over the videos

It’s an older demo. He mentioned it in the comments. There’s another demo he posted sometime back. I think it was from TW sessions.

Damn, great performance. I really want TBS to throw in a few Straylight Run covers like they did when they first reunited.

It always bothered me that adam sang existentialism and not john.

I agree, Adam should have been doing back up vocals. Still, I loved that they played it.

i was a huge fan of the "About Time" EP.

"I'm Through With the Past" & "Don't Count Me Out" are incredible songs.

the subject matter of "I'm Through With the Past" is pretty funny to listen to now that he is back in TBS. (i'm assuming that this was about his time in TBS)
