I do hope this blows up for them. Not sure if it will, but I hope it does.

i can see this being pretty moderate size hit in the context of their catalog. not chocolate or girls levels but maybe climbing the alt charts like somebody else did.

didn’t strike me as immediTely as most of their other pre release songs but I know that’s ultimately ~meaningless~ and this thing will pack a real punch for me by the end of the summer

more importantly i admire literally everything about their offstage activities. these dudes are awesome

Song is great. Guitar line is an awesome hook. It gets stuck in your head and is memorable. Need to look at some of the lyrics closer, but from what I made out I dug them. I like that even though they are making what sounds like simple pop music, it still polarizes listeners and brings out strong opinions. I’m in for the new cycle.

Idk if anyone said this yet, but that "zoots" line seems like a play on finding a grey hair in his roots, but instead he turns it into a drug reference because he's a clever lil bastard

New number(s) alert! Has anyone else noticed that at the end of the "Give Yourself A Try" YouTube video it says DH00330 but the Spotify video is DH00333? Are they just messing with everyone at this point or do they consider the videos individual "releases"?

Oh Spotify, the fact that you haven't even put this song on my Release Radar playlist today tells me that after all these years - you don't know me at all.

...Or maybe you knew I would have absolutely no need for it to be on that list. In that case, you know me all too well.

One of the rare instances where the Spotify version of the video is better than the widescreen YT version. Helps that you're watching it in a box.

Loving this. After reading the initial reactions I was expecting a really loud guitar riff, but I don't think it's offputting in the slightest, i like where it sits. The mixing reminds me a bit of some LCD Soundsystem. Also, I think this song lends itself to some really cool dance remix potential.

That riff sounds VERY Joy Division - Disorder.
That's not a bad thing though.

I know I'm late on this new song, forgive me, I live in a completely different time zone.

'Give Yourself a Try' is astonishing. And I know I shouldn't be surprised, but still, this band amazes me every time.
