Kanye West charity Donda’s House dissolved following Twitter spat between Kim Kardashian and Rhymefest

Read this headline (and then story) today and realized I really hate everything in 2018.

 

That whole story is very messy on both sides. Seeing people who used to be involved saying Fest has been pocketing money and is caught on audio talking trash about a few of the kids who used to be in the program.

Kim going off was ridiculous as well and saying she’s gonna take the charity also very bad. But that also isn’t his charity from my understanding anyways and Rhymefest has been going off talking about how much he hates Kanye and that’s why he doesn’t get involved with that specific charity now.

 

the shit that came out about rhymefest this morning looks very bad

 

I did read the last three pages. And there was very clearly a couple people stiring shit up, but this guy wasn’t involved as far as I can tell. Then that fizzled out and it was a long conversation about how the internet ruined the white man.

I just didn’t understand if there was a reason that he was being ganged up on, when his soon post would have been very easy to ignore. Unless there’s something I’m missing about this guy

 

i mean like two days ago he told me i dont actually care about the whole whitney houston bathroom photo being used and that my empathy is just elitism, despite the fact that im a recovering addict myself who has dealt specifically with the substance whitney houston succumbed to. so he can get fucked for all i care.

 

Fair enough, I’ll drop it. Didn’t see anything on recent pages but I’m not going to read through this whole thread. I’ll take every ones word for it

 

What came out today

 

I know everything I saw from the Chicago community organizers, who do work on the ground every day, was completely on Rhymefest’s side. I haven’t tuned in to anything that might have come out about Fest this morning, so I’m not defending him personally, but when Kim is mocking fake Yeezy’s while a real organization that does meaningful work that I’ve seen firsthand hangs in the balance, I get bummed and it’s a real shame that Kanye’s continued enveloping in his personal bubble has resulted in Donda’s House folding.

I don’t expect Kim, Kanye or Rhymefest to be decent people. It’s just shitty that the kids are the ones losing out through all this.
