I just think a lot of what goes on in these forums is self serving and disingenuous. None of it authentic. People talk down to others about social issues the same way they sneer at others about music/taste. I think there are a lot of internet frauds on here, that’s all. You have literally called me a rascist based on...Posting in a Kanye thread. You have deemed me a racist because I “disagree” with you because I have continued to show excitement for this particular record. That’s some pea brained logic.

 

Well social issues are very important and effect people's lives while music taste is entirely subjective and doesn't effect people's lives at all so I'm not sure what you're getting at here

I’ve seen this exact situation play out numerous times on this site. Our singular “disagreement” is because I have chosen to continue to support Kanye West even though I disagree with his stance and people here don’t like that. I have way bigger fish to fry than what kanye west thinks.

 

I said Kanye is being used to spread white supremacist propaganda, which is true and we apparently both agree on that. Didn't call you one. But please, continue to place yourself as a victim, its pretty self-serving and disingenuous, but who really cares.

Its a bummer that Kanye's bullshit views have killed all my excitement for his music, but the spread and normalization of white supremacist views being parroted from a widely respected and influential person is an important thing to deal with, and can have a real negative impact on a lot of marginalized people. There are much bigger fish to fry than whatever music Kanye makes.
