The chorus on this new one is very No Future-esque by Blink. You can literally sing the chorus of No Future over the chorus of this new one haha.

Still excited for this summer pop punk album though.

 

Mehhh I feel like this album is gonna be a big dud

 

I didn’t mind their previous material and I couldn’t force myself to give this new record a second playthrough when I got it. It’s generic and a massive step backwards imo

 

That's what it seems like it's going to be. I love The Finer Things and there's a ton of really solid tracks on Around The World but I can't imagine this one has more than 1-2 songs I'll return to. I definitely won't return to these singles

The chorus feels forced

 

I love the song, personally.

 

This was fine. Makes me appreciate how good The Finer Things really is.

 

I’d dig the song a lot more if it had a decent chorus

How did this band go from so promising to so disappointing? I like Crystal Ball and the verses on this track but "Dead and Gone" is very boring to me, as is this chorus. Someone said it sounded like the "No Future" chorus, and it does, but Mark pulls off that chorus. Derek can't for some reason.

 

The new songs are fine and this will undoubtedly be a fun, catchy SC album so I’ll still play it a lot, but I was hoping for something more from them. Thought they’d really commit to the poppy direction, but there’s been minimal progression through three albums now, it’s a bummer.

 

I really enjoyed the verses but the chorus fell flat.

 

Crystal Ball has been the best of three so far

 

I have a feeling that similarly to ATWAB, this albums best songs will not be the singles

 

Weren’t the singles from the last album tracks 2-4? Those were my favorite songs on the album

 

The only songs I enjoyed at all from the last record were the singles + the first track.

 

The Finer Things was solid from front to back

ATWAB was tighter but had a lot of filler (Back And Forth, Eyes Closed, Back & Forth)

 

I liked the first five songs and the title track, that’s it

 

Breaking ground, tooth and nail, and back and forth are the three songs I skip on that album. I don’t skip a single song off the finer things. The first two tracks have grown on me, so I’m still excited to see what’s the come with this album

 

Secrets is a fucking banger and definitely the best song on that album
