I'm well on my way to learning all the words to this album and I'm pretty excited about that

    what a waste of wood

I've only given it a few plays. I need to sit down and listen along with the lyrics. After a few listens this comes nowhere close to "Home.." for me but that could change.

Goodness Pt.2 though. What a song.

It's such a sunny day today and this album is absolutely fantastic for it, if just for the Sun puns I can make

I enjoyed Cohens article. I started chuckling at the "list of wrong things"

I like Ian Cohen's articles when he's writing about his favorite bands like this. When it's just a passive review I don't find them very engaging. I like the Noisey article a lot.

My favorite articles of his are definitely the ones that aren't on Pitchfork, haha. This, his 1975 Grantland piece from a few years ago, The Wonder Years article also on Grantland, etc.

Also, is @Jason Tate the friend he's talking about at the beginning of that piece? Haha

Haha loved that he gave us a shoutout on Twitter.. He mentions our forum all of the time so he definitely reads it constantly.. I told him to join in on the discussion and he said he was "too old" to fit in. Said that was non sense! Ha

That's true, it's definitely a little different. I meant it in a "this song has meant a lot to people for many years but I am just hearing it now and am blown away" kind of way.

That Cohen article is really good and aligns with much of my observation of the record

So I'm an Orientation leader for my university, which means I introduce new students to the university and get them registered for classes. We had our retreat two days ago, and at the end of that retreat we play this game called "Cross the Line", where a facilitator says different phrases, ranging from "Walk to the center if you're from Springfield" to "Walk to the center if you have ever had suicidal thoughts" and if the phrase applies to you and you feel comfortable you walk to the center of the circle. There's no explanation of why you personally walked to the center on any question, you just silently walk to the center, stop, then turn around. It's a really intimate moment that you share with people who, for the most part, you've only known for a really short time. We played the game right at sunset, and it reminded me so much of this album. It felt like I was actually living in Goodness. I don't know if anyone really cares about this story, I just thought it was really cool to be able to make a connection between the themes of this album and a real-life experience so close to the release. It was really beautiful.

My biggest and only problem with this album at this point in time is this: I want to be able to sing every single word while I listen to this driving but I'm just not there yet ha. I probably have a freakish amount memorized though considering it's been out for a week ("out" / available)

In your guys iTunes do you use the original It Never Goes Out artwork or the TE rerelease one?

The rereleased one only because it's what came with my download of it. I should change it back to the original since it thematically makes sense in relation to the other album arts with the nature theme. But I'm lazy

I use this one. Also I listened to that album today and I still think it's a good album with a few fantastic songs.
