I added Yo La Tengo. All that's holding me back is it would mean they play 8 consecutive shows in a row, which is unusual tour activity, but definitely not impossible. It does drop right in there, so it seems like you're right.

Oh yea I forgot about that, but still I think that was not planned originally as much as their show wasn't selling what they wanted it to.

Is Travis playing for Goldfinger on the regular now? I know it was Cyrus from NFG for a bit too. On the smaller tip, if we get Goldfinger I bet we get MxPx too with Mike being there anyway.

 

i know he did the record, and also played live with them at his Musink festival and probably will at Back to the Beach fest since that whole fest is a collab between travis and john. so if (key word) they both happen to be at RF i dont see why he wouldnt joint them.

Also for hip hop acts, I’d like to suggest/predict Cypress Hill doing a Black Sunday set, seeing its the album’s 25th anniversary this year

 

I didn't think about that, but it makes sense! Given that they usually include at least one or two hip-hop album plays... That's a pretty good guess!

Actually. Thinking on it. I wonder if Thursday might do an album (or two)...

In theory, hah. But Riot Fest and TBS have a strong enough relationship at this point that they'd let it go. There was one year they didn't technically play but did an after show. Odds are very good that they will somehow be involved... Maybe a surprise set, maybe just on the line-up, etc.

You can put money on Andrew W.K., GWAR, and Taking Back Sunday being involved somehow every year.

 

Yea it's doubtful they're actually going to be on the line up, but they will most likely do something involving riot Fest. Possibly an after show or a secret set. They've been involved every year since 2013. (Of course you never know, that streak could be up.

Thank you both!! I'm going to be in chicago for school and I really enjoy their live sets so I just didn't know if there was something I didn't know about but looking back that all makes sense!

A friend of mine just pointed out that the NOFX Punk in Drublic beer is being sold in Illinois. And supposedly they're only selling it in states where NOFX has shows in 2018...
