Go is only that far down because I've never really given it a chance. Could very well like it.

 

I just bought the MDL box set (all the picture discs) on Discogs, right now I'm mad at myself but I'll be so happy once it arrives :')

 

I got that notification but couldn't bring myself to pay that price aha.

 

Listening to CTTM today. Bliss.

 

I've known for a long time I wanted to do it and total myself that the next time it was available I would take the plunge. I also figured it won't get much better than that haha

 

I've pretty much accepted that I'll never own them, and thats okay

 

GO is amazing

 

They need to put out an official b-sides collection. There must be over 25 or 30 worth distributing.

 

Put it on vinyl and they'd have all my money!

 

Speaking of b-sides, does anyone have "Everything is Fine"?

 

I’m not as well versed on my MCS B-sides as I should be.

 

The Worst Part is the big one everyone needs to know. Top 5 MCS track.

 

CTTM is the only album I've listened to that I could ever call perfect. (Maybe Nightmare Of You's self-titled if anyone is familiar with that.)

Panic Stations has some good songs but they were trying too hard to "recover" from the softer sound of Go. I remember Justin talking about how Go doesn't carry a lot of energy and wasn't as much fun to play live and I think that really spurred on Panic Stations' direction.

EIIKM and IATM are great for separate reasons. "Last Night" is by far my favorite song from the band ever.

I am constantly fighting with MDL. I loved a lot of it when it came out, but something about the production of the CD and songs like "Hysteria" and "Delirium", which are touch and go for me, cause me to waver.

I wish they had ended with a stronger record than Panic Stations but I'm glad they had a superb and interesting run as a whole. They certainly were unique.

Excited for Justin's solo album which should be out this year.

 

You owe it to yourself to give Go a chance. It took quite a long time to grow on me, and once it did, it definitely became one of my favorites.

 

This song is spectacular. My girlfriend doesn't really know them, but she has heard them in my car and when I said that song was a B side she was actually astounded. She said it was one or her favourites that she had heard.

 

My favourite non album track is their cover of Trampled By Turtles’ Wait So Long, on that split they did together.

If covers don’t count then The Worst Part is my fav non album track.

 

Their cover of “Left and Leaving” orignally by The Weakerthans is my favorite. I’m usually not a fan of cover tracks at all, but that one is beautiful

 

The Worst Part is incredible but So Long, Farewell needs mentioning too. Especially when they did it at the VIP for the final tour. Chills and tears every time I hear it now.

Also all this Go blasphemy is intolerable. That album is incredible and Timelines is one of their best. But really, this is one of very few bands where I think arguments could be made for almost any album being their best and rankings are way more subjective than usual.

 

Not Asking You To Leave is a top 5 MCS song

 

I like your opinion, but adamantly disagree.

 

I'm pretty sure Left and Leaving is just one of the best songs ever written. I was so happy when I learned MCS covered it

 

Dude, I second this so hard (the Wait So Long cover). I had that on repeat for so long when it came out. In fact, thanks for reminding me to revisit it.

 

This post made me listen to that album for the first time yesterday. I loved it. I was always familiar with that song and MCS’s cover of it but I had never listened to the album or dug into The Weakerthans at all. Thank you!
