He's on fire right now. Like right up there with the best pitchers in the game. I feel like he'll regress from this point. Plus he just looks like a guy that will blow his arm out and never be the same. Remember when we didn't trade Jair Jurrjens at the all-star break that one time and it really cost us?

He's been pretty good recently, so I hope he's back to what he showed a couple of years ago.

Honestly, the last thing this team needs to do is trade away another familiar face.

Nats are 14-0 in his last 14 starts too.

Be sure to drink your Ovaltine.

I got the Ukraine and I am nowhere near excited as this kid is for the Ukraine.

Ugh, James Wagner is leaving the Post to cover the Mets for the NY Times. Going to miss that guy, probably the best Nats beat writer.

He's referring to the Euro draw from the soccer thread. Clearly posted it in the wrong thread.

Better than me - I spent most of my childhood wondering why the Expos had "elb" on their hats.

Well... Add me to the group freshly learning what these logos were/are.

"The logo is composed of three colors – red, white and blue – and three letters: a large stylized ”M” for Montreal, a lower case ”e” for Expos in red on the lower left of the logo, and a ”b” for baseball in blue on the right-hand side.”

    I see no M

I see the M, E, and B. But don't understand what the white space is supposed to be looks like a damn "L" to me.

Just looking at Jason Heyward's stats, how is this the same guy who hit 27 HR in 2012? I actually don't even remember him hitting than many homers.

He's been pretty bad at the plate in a great lineup.

Very nice 6 run 2nd by the Cubs.

Mike Shannon is such a terrible announcer. He just rambles about giveaways the whole time but confuses them all it seems. He went on for a couple minutes how the Cardinals were giving away a pillbox and then realized it was pillbox hats not something you put medicine in.

Arrieta just gave up 4 runs for the first time in 30 starts.

That thing would've kept going too if that pole wasn't in the way.

  25. Steven Matz is now 7-1, 2.36 ERA, 50K, 9BB 0.99 WHIP after today's win. He gave up 7ER in 2.3 IP against the Marlins in his season debut. Since then, he's given up 6ER in 48 IP.

Unless Trevor Story has another massive power surge late in the season, Matz could be running away with the NL Rookie of the Year.
