Apparently we won't get a third season?

True Detective is probably dead

Crazy if true..Even if s2 was a trainwreck.

 

I would have no interest in another season.

 

id be willing to give em one more shot at it. kinda bummed tbh

 

I'd give it a shot too since it's something new every season.

 

Not surprised by that news. I still watch the first season occasionally.

Semi-interested what becomes with the remaining portion of the HBO/Pizzolatto contract.

 

This pleases me.

I would have been down for another season. I was hoping for a bounce back, critically acclaimed season 3.

And I need to rematch season 1.

 

Started watching season 2 but lost interest a few episodes in.

 

Unfortunate to see True Detective go but Pizzolatto stay. In an ideal world they'd kick him to the curb and continue to make a mystery-oriented show with someone more competent at the helm.

 

Yea I noticed the 'complete series' phrasing on the HBO promo and assumed it was dead too. I actually enjoyed a decent chunk of s2 but didn't like ending.

 

S1 kinda sucked too

I only watched the S2 premier but it gave us such great lines as:
"You like to bully kids Ass-pen?" and
"You're 12 years old and you're already evil as fuck."

Idk just that whole scene actually was the worst and also best

 

"You ever bully or hurt anybody again, I'll come back and buttfuck your father with your mom's headless corpse on this goddamn lawn."

 

Season 1 was... ok to boring. I got 1.5 episodes into season 2, or maybe 2.5, either way it was a waste

 

Still love S1. Peak McConaissance.

 

Can't believe they filmed that entire interrogation sequence in one day.
