I don't hate it, but it feels like the music video was supposed to lead you somewhere and then misses the mark.

Agreed. Teenager me loved the Sic Transit video... Now it's pretty bad.

The Jesus video is really interesting and has some cool artwork going on, and I feel the tone fits the song pretty well.

 

I've always liked the Jesus video. What's the story of them not releasing it? Were they just not happy with it?

 

No way I think the Sic Transit video holds up lol. That one is a classic. I remember liking it so much I downloaded that one off Kazaa or Limewire back in the day. It also reminds me of Sigur Ros I got one of their videos at the same time for Untitled #1

I'm 26 and I still love the Sic Transit Gloria video. I think it definitely holds up.

 

I still really like the Jude Law video. Lots of energy.

 

The Sic Transit video is the (second) best thing Marc Webb has ever done

 

I prefer the original demo/cassette version over the re-recorded version.

I enjoyed The Amzing Spider-Man 1 & 2 quite a bit.

 

They do seem to get a lot of flack for how good they are. I mean, they followed Spiderman 3, how can you talk crap about those in comparison? COME ON.

 

I believe he also directed the ocean avenue video.

I thought to myself this morning, that it would make the most sense to release that second single before the tour starts next week. I assume they'll be playing it live, but then again, it's never really been a pattern Brand New to release studio before playing it live. I think they've switched around in that order for the past few cycles (I include Mene in its own little cycle for now).
