Important to note this is a best of seven. I'm loving OKCs play, however this series is far from over. There are potentially two more games in GS

 

Gotcha. I honestly could not remember for the life of me who played in that finals thus it went right over my head.

I think one of the biggest strides Donovan made as the season/post-season went on was the (apparent) increased focus on line-ups instead of individual players. Early on it felt like he was trying to find ways to make guys like CP, Singler, and Morrow fit, or just seeing what they could do--which is totally understandable for a guy coaching new players--now it feels more like he knows what they can do, and what they can do together, so he's got scenario-dictated groups of five rather than trying to swap out the "bad part" at any moment in time.

To me, the Spurs series really felt like the unveiling of the fully polished version of that approach.

 

Durant's defense in this series hasn't gotten a lot of attention and it's been mind numbingly good.

 

Pretty poor officiating in the first half in my opinion. I'm rooting for whoever comes out of the west anyways, but some pretty blatant missed calls out there against GS.

Should clarify. Those calls would have little effect on the current score, GS getting outplayed everywhere.

Man what a pleasure it is to watch the best point guard in basketball and steph curry battle it out

 

They are terrifying when he and/or Ibaka are aggressive on defense. So enjoyable to watch.

 

I want this to hold just for this exchange.

 

I feel like I may need to eat my hat on the Harden trade. If they win it all this year .... and that's very much now firmly in play.

Portland could have easily won three of those games against GS
