The more I see about all this the more angry I get. A Vice article popped up in my feed argued that anybody associating him with the alt-right is p much hysterical and basically propped him up as being provocative and argued that we should "let Kanye be Kanye" but how bout let's not fucking do that

yeah i see wayyyy too many people in my feed on twitter (including a lot of people i'd call very tuned into things) making silly comments or liking a lot of his more harmless tweets but it all feeds into the same mentality. it's all very dangerous

 

no but I'd rather 50 percent of the US population didn't get to spew bullshit that ABSOLUTELY VERY LITERALLY endangers the lives of others and have it backed up and popularized by the biggest figure in music

We're disappointed with Kanye putting a "free thought, let 'em be" lens on policies that are literally dangerous for people without seeming to take the time anymore (given his history) to acknowledge how the policies of those he's promoting affect people. It's no different from the "there's great people on both sides" argument and it's facile.

 

From what I’ve read Kanye is misinformed and out of touch. Like every other Dad. People want their heroes to fit in their box and have their PR machine churn out perfect little answers to everything so they can go on believeing everything is perfect. Grow the hell up.

No serious person would categorize something as simple as “Candace Owens bad” as being a “perfect little answer” “churned out by a PR machine.” It’s like saying “Nazis are bad” or “the KKK is bad.” Very easy statement to get right, requires almost no brain power whatsoever.
