Everyone just had too high of expectations.

This isn't a great movie, but it's dumb fun and has some decent laughs. It's at least better than Zoolander 2, or Anchorman 2 or a slew of other half assed comedy sequels.

 

comedy sequels in general aren't great. I think Wayne's World 2 and Gremlins 2 are the only ones I can really enjoy as a standalone movie

 

There's a good amount of solid comedy sequels, but there's just a giant slew of shitty ones.

 

I finally saw this... I think there's some great material for sure, but the Canadian jokes were really stale. Seems like a worn out thing at this point.
