It's actually quite comforting to know that I'm not the only one who thinks his PlayStation is going to take off with these new games. Wish I could have the funds to upgrade. Day One was good at the time....

 

Yeah might have to grab a pro this holiday season. Especially with Last Of Us 2 and the new From game on the horizon.

 

I'm gonna wait for TLOU2 Remastered in 2020.

 

I still have no interest in a pro, especially after hearing how hard my PS4 is working for me. God of War already looks better than I ever expected games to look.

 

Haven't really been that overly impressed by GOW from a visual/technical standpoint so far (playing on OG PS4). I'm comparing it in my head to stuff like Horizon/Last of Us/Uncharted 4 and it seems clearly a step below those. Still good lookin' though.

 

Im playing GOW on a pro with a 4K tv. It looks amazing and i dont even have it running on HDR because i cant figure out how to get the hdr to work. Wasted 2 hours trying to figure it out haha.

Still looks incredible tho!

 

Only thing I don’t like is the health gem system. Wish it was consumables. Maybe I’m just too used to bloodborne.

I would say that the only true peers this game has graphically is Uncharted 4 and HZD.

 

Other than some racing games(Gran Turismo Sport, Forza 7, and Forza Horizon 3), you're probably correct. At least on a technical level. Artistically, I could probably name quite a few others.

 

Only thing negative about GoW is the witch voice acting and dialog. Super wooden.

 

Only just made it out of that first ruin yesterday when I had to stop playing GoW, but man the RE 4 comparisons are on point. Also I’m pretty sure without looking that the voice actor who plays the Stranger is the same as the sorting hat from the HP films.

 

Picked up PS VR over the weekend alongside Rez Infinite and Skyrim. I'm sitting here at work now questioning reality and whether or not I still have the helmet on lol

 

Started God of War over the weekend. I'm playing on the normal difficulty but this game seems much harder than previous GoW games. I haven't really messed around with the menus and stuff as there is so much going on but is there a moves list like previous games?

AC Origins on a One X

 

opted for yakuza 6 over GOW. can't wait to dive in. Haven't played 3-5 and had to watch some recap videos on youtube though. No way am I digging out my PS2/3.

 

It's Jeremy Davies, looks like him too. He was in Lost, Saving Private Ryan, Justified.

 

I picked up GOW - never played any of the Yakuza games. BUT I've been watching vids on Yakuza and that's definitely gonna be my next game after GOW.

 

Start with 0! It's easily one of the best entries.

 

Definitely! I've checked out vids and 0 looks amazing. And since its apparently a prequel, thats probably the best place to start story wise.

 

0 is so good. I really need to finish it.

 

Played the Detroit demo. Not bad.

 

It's crazy seeing how popular/well-known the Yakuza series is now compared to 10 years ago when we barely got 2, 3, or 4 lol.
