now that slaves tour is a great example of why short bills matter. I mean, no one cares about the two openers, cancel slaves, and have cky play The Riff, then pack up and leave. condensing what's probably a 3 hour show into a nice, snackable 5 minutes.

 

This most likely means Ryan won't be doing Warped with KP unless its May-June

 

Royal Thunder are pretty popular in the U.K. Awaken I Am are some random band on Victory that probably bought on.

 

10 minute royal thunder set, cancel the other opener, have slaves break up, have cky play the riff.

The latest a headliner has ever come on at any show I've ever been to was Ghostface Killah who came on at 3:00 AM at a CMJ show I attended at BB King's in 2010. Dude was still playing when I left at 4:15 in the morning...I was falling asleep on my feet and still had to catch the train back to where I was staying at in Brooklyn.

 

Poor Royal Thunder.

 

To totally triple post, this is a fucking terrible opinion. Royal Thunder is a dope band that deserves more recognition...them and CKY is just an odd pairing. Throw in the greatest Macbook salesman ever into the mix and that just increases the confusion.

 

Lmao, just checked out Awaken I Am and they're basically a hipster version of Slaves, except their vocalist is pretty forgettable (But at least he looks like an actual MacBook salesman)

 

Are Foo Fighters still worth cutting a vacation short to see in 2018? I've still never seen them and the venue they're playing is really convenient for me but I would have to cut my summer trip short by like three days

 

I mean... If you've never seen them? I'd say so. I've seen them a few times and they always put on a great show, but I wasn't a big fan of the last record at all so I'm skipping out on this most recent tour (that and the last time around, the "extended jam" versions of certain songs just kinda bummed me out because it felt like it ate so heavily into the total number of songs played).

But they put on a great show still!
