I honestly don't put their self titled that high on my list, might be my least favorite from them but if someone has those 11 songs in their top whatever songs they've listened to? Hell yea more power to you, more people loving music and connecting with it.

 

I love drummers who have a distinct style that you can tell who they are right off the bat. Abe is definitely one of those drummers. And he somehow never overplays anything while still making it sound unique and challenging.

 

Digital Bath is one of the best songs of all time.

 

i don't rate the s/t high either, the mood is a little too scattered compared to the rest of their records. but also, like, every song on it is pretty cool, can't blame someone for loving it the most

 

He for sure has a style and sound that is immediately recognizable. The way they mix his drums have such a clean and hard impact.

 

i love Abe but i would recommend that you listen to more older music

Like what? I like all sorts of different music and he's one of my favorites.

i would venture to guess the vast, vast majority of my favorite songs of all time were all made after the year 2000 tbh. i tend to like more modern music more than older music.

The more I revisit this band’s discography, the more convinced I am that Diamond Eyes is my favorite album of theirs. It’s really the perfect blend of everything this band does so well, impeccable atmosphere and aggression in every track.

 

While I can definitely appreciate DE being someone's favourite, I find the more I go back to their back catalog the less certain I am which is my favourite. It's like choosing a favourite child.
