It's an alright track, one of the better ones on that record. I do like the harmonica on it haha. I dunno though, the album as a whole just doesn't have the same ferocity or viciousness as those GWB records. "We're Tired of It" is a pretty good track too, though.

At any rate, it's definitely a better album than From Beer to Eternity or Relapse.

 

It’s pretty bad when the bar is so low that it is good by proxy.

The new Palm Reader album is great, they’re a UK hardcore band on the Converge end of the hardcore spectrum.

 

The new Bleeding Through song really brings back the memories of early 00’s metalcore, solid.

 

I've been out of town so THRASH METAL THURSDAY did not occur. Instead I am catching up on some things.

Here's some good ass death metal that comes out May 25th, album art by the great Dan Seagrave.

I've been on a big new wave of new wave of british heavy metal kick lately so here's some stuff to check out if you love that shit as much as I do. (i.e. early Priest, first two Maiden records, first Def Leppard album, Thin Lizzy etc)

hot DAMN this new Hoth song is great. Melodic death/black in the vein of Dissection. Also they sing about Star Wars and their logo is shaped like Darth Vader's TIE Fighter. Album doesn't come out until June though.

inter arma: a good band

 

My #1 album from 2016. Back when AP was still around, someone posted a video for "I Am The Hammer" and I watched it out of curiosity. I was definitely not into epic heavy metal at that point in time, but that song gripped me and I fell in love with the band and have explored the genre moderately since then. I'm eagerly awaiting what they do next.

Whoever that poster was from AP, thank you for the gateway drug to sword and sorcery metal.
