    Someday I’ll find me Prestigious

Was just reminiscing about Daisy today, at least the lead up to the release. When they announced preorders I happened to be there as soon as it happened, not really trying to, and apparently ended up with the first sale/preorder of the album. I was order number 1.

Got a signed copy of the CD (because they sold vinyl through other outlets and not the offices merch store). I remember getting an email saying that the band hadn't finished signing the inside cover of the album, so they were sending that out after the preorder package.

This caused an issue for me because I received the package just fine, but they tried to send the signed sleeve to the same address that they sent my package but my college had a stupid confusing mail/package system. It got lost several times, several emails and calls later, and it eventually made it to me.

I remember being so proud of having their autographs. Being the first one to order the album, and all that jazz. Always been a fun story to reminisce about.

Pointlessly leaving it here in the lead up to LP5.

This is pretty cool, had a somewhat similar thing happen to me with How To Dress Well (ordered the LP, was first to order somehow, LP delivery got delayed so they sent out the test pressings as a souvenir with the LP when delivery happened and I got the test pressing #1)

Man, that sounds cool. The best pre-order story I have is managing to beat 1,000 rabid Pierce the Veil fans on the pre-order of their new album so I could get my girlfriend a signed picture. hahah

Sweet brag brah! In all seriousness that's a pretty cool preorder story!

Edit: The preorder for Daisy was neat. Cd, tshirt which I still wear (im wearing it today actually) some stickers and a patch. Def would go for something similar now only thing I would change is getting it on vinyl instead of cd.

I remember getting the fan starter pack in 2006 or 2007 it included their first 3 albums, a tshirt, 5 pins, an iron on patch, some stickers and i also got the Sowing Season single with it all. It was just before christmas and I remember for some reason it wasnt working properly merch direct was being difficult and i had to start the order over 4 times and finally the fifth time it worked. I was getting so frustrated but I was determined to keep going until it worked. Never had any issues prior or since with merch direct only that one time. So weird.

Outside of my opinioin of the songs quality.
I am having an incredibly hard time understanding how they went from Daisy to this.

I anticipated them doing exactly what they wanted (as they should) but I don't think
Ive ever seen a band go from insanely experimental and heavy to middle of the road genre convenient.

I might grow to love the song but I def anticipated to be alienated for different reasons than what this single is inspiring.

Master of not knowing what the hell I'm doing.

I think it's easier to look at the transition from Mene rather than the transition from Daisy. Mene bridges the two pretty perfectly, being dark in the way Daisy is but still being fast-paced and straightforward like Nightmare.
Just my speculation though. Then again, it's Brand New, they're not exactly known for making the most obvious choice of album transitions.

This song was made for playing really loud in the car and singing along to. A lot more fun than a singalong to Limousine for sure.

All Brand New is very singalongable but like when you're at the climax of the 7 loves you so much and screaming along its a really weird vibe haha

I mean it's definitely a singalong song but it's far from a "fun" one hahaha

pretty much that haha. Bar the new track, most of YFW and a couple tracks on deja Brand New is a band to sing along passionately to, not happily... But I'm okay with that. If I want happy I'll listen to The Front Bottoms.

I can sing along to all of Deja and TDAG. I scream unintelligibly to Daisy.

I'm excited to sing along to LP5. Nightmare is extremely catchy. I can see why it seems to be appealing to a more mainstream audience, and I would expect the accompanying tracks of the album will be much less straightforward. Jason has already compared this to At The Bottom (a song that I love) in terms of what LP5 will sound like.

I'd have never expected Vices (in fact, I didn't expect it at all) with the sound and vibe of At The Bottom.

Vices is my favorite track on Daisy. It rips so hard and I just love hitting the stearing wheel or the top of my work desk during the drum run with the volume all the way up.
