I agree with this. I would have preferred that they went more the way of the self titled and left out most of, if not all, of the screaming out.

Then again some of these songs don't work as-is without the screaming.

I love the screaming on this.. It's kind of like fuck you to everyone who says screaming doesn't work in 2016, screaming is great in post hardcore and Anthony has a cool high scream

I think for me it's really just a matter of what I prefer personally now. I used to love screaming, not so much these days. I definitely think they make it work here, and I really like the album as a whole. Different strokes I guess.

The self titled is my favorite thing they've done, so I'm partial to that. I just wish it was Anthony instead of Cove, but it would have been different if that was the case.

This one's been growing on me after a lukewarm first impression last week. "Ideology," "Racing," "Stutter," and "Sore Distress" are a few highlights.

This probably sounds really odd, but there's something about a few tracks here that brings me back to early Circa (which is a very good thing, since that's the peak of Anthony's career IMO). I can't really explain why, which is probably a sign it's all in my head. But I feel like there's more of a link to Juturna/OLG than there is to TTN, weak as it may be.

Also, after hearing the CD rip - man, that stream/web rip we'd been listening to didn't do this album justice, at all.

I think Pandora really gave people a bad impression of the record

It's definitely a cohesive type of record... There a strong theme throughout but I think it's crushing.. A lot of the songs have very different musical characteristics

I wouldn't have suspected that anyone would have found this as a blending album. Interesting.

I doubt that he's involved in riff department on this album.
Look what he had done to TTN n self-titled riffs, this album lack of dat! Sigh.

Can somebody explain why he actually got kicked by other?
If it's only because he have side project with the Used dat's gonna be so cruel, I mean look at Tony ffs!

Racing Toward A Red Light is an early favorite. Though I really enjoy every track.

Old Friends is a song I think rules but haven't seen many people talk about. The drums at the end are amazing.

A now disbanded rock group called The Weakend had a similar structure throughout the verses of a cool song called "A Guiding Light".

The second verse after the chorus even rocks the traditional disco drum pattern to a neat effect.
Also, now that I can officially listen to the bonuses of this new album I'm so glad to be hearing Drinking From The Fountain. My goodness that bridge is sick. Its also great to hear this album in decent quality as opposed to Pandora.

I was confused on why they chose 'Control and the Urge to Pray' as the closer, then I was even more confused when I listened to the deluxe and wondered why they didn't just release this as a 13-track album altogether.

I like this after one listen all the way through. But I need more time with it, so I'm trying to put of the Hotelier and PUP streams so I can give it some attention. This month is too stacked
