I really don’t get why they stayed on Trans-

It’s not even an active label? I figured they would go to a major for some reason. I know Trans- is a sub of Atlantic but I kind of hoped they would be able to be pushed to the big leagues. They need the exposure and the songs are obviously marketable as hell so I don’t get the decision to stay at all.

 

wouldn’t be surprised if there was contract considerations behind this, which might be why it’s taken so long to finally push this out

 

That just defies logic to me. I'm sure there's a reason for it, maybe other labels aren't interested and it's their only option/the speediest way of getting it released, but it seems so counter-intuitive.

 

Perhaps. Since it’s owned by Chris Walla (and not really operational lol) - I just assume it’s very relaxed and that he gave them the option to put it out with him again. Who knows though.

Yeah 100%. They are honestly loosing money by the day. The second the album was announced- preorders should have gone up. It’s a very basic and proven true strategy.

I wish I had an idea of when this was going up for preorder but I’m just as confused.

I’m starting to get worried.

 

This is the best album I’ve heard this year and I can’t buy it and I’m worried everyday it’s about to leak.

They could literally announce preorders with no detail of what’s included and I’d buy it. Absurd that they’re still not up. The ‘label’/management could’ve capitalised on the album announcement hype long ago. I hope there’s a good reason for the delay - really feel like they’re missing a huge opportunity right now. I want to show my love for this record so bad. My playcount for it is ridiculous haha.

 

we should have seen the signs earlier when like, two singles were put out months and months and months before release and kc was super irritated everytime someone asked about this

 

It's just such a bummer to not have a way to really support them right now with the album on it's way. I Just feel bad for them that the rollout is going this way when they deserve a much bigger presence

This is unacceptable. My company could turn around a preorder site in a day. Now Now, DM me and we’ll get you set up!

 

On the bright side, at least they have a UK label. I think that's positive, at least! As soon as the pre-orders go up (has to be any time in the next couple of weeks surely!) it'll all be a distant memory.

 

Yeah, I’m hoping they’ll have the preorder up at the same time as the US. And if there’s anything ‘limited’, that it’ll be available for us too.

Does anybody know what the UK label site is? I want to check if the album is available for order locally before I commit to shipping costs and whatnot.
