    Owly.com stage:

As it is- very solid band live. Last December was the first time I saw them in a setting where most people were into them so it’ll be cool to see how much they’ve grown

Assuming we survive- one of the better easy-core bands I’ve heard, saw them on a tour Id rather not talk about in 2015 but they were the best band that night

Broadside- i like about 3 songs from these guys, I’ll see them if I have time.

Capstan- first time listening to these guys, not bad on first listen

Chase Atlantic- they seem like a fun sounding band, I can see it translating well on warped

Doll skin- pretty decent, I’ll have to listen to them more to see them

    Don Broco- nope.

Grayscale- I’ve been trying to see these guys for awhile now, almost had a chance last December but got into an accident. It’ll be cool to see them play the hometown date!

    Makeout- nah

Palaye royale- I’ve seen these guys 3 times opening shows I’ve gone to, I wanna get into it but it’s not my thing

Sleep on it- very solid live, hope they have a big pull this year they deserve it

Story untold- started listening to these guys a couple weeks ago, they’re slowly climbing up my list

Trash boat- I like the song strangers, not sure if their sound is for me though

    With confidence- nope

I want to see Story Untold just once to go buck wild to "In or Out" and I'll be good.

    Gonna do my Owly.fm takes

As It Is: My favorite pop-punk band in the scene right now. Patty's vocal albility and aggression is staggering and their catchiness and guitar work is great. Love the lyrics and message of their songs.

Assuming We Survive: Sorta punky-leaning easycore. Not really for me but I wouldn't mind seeing them.

Broadside: They're all just really tight performers and solid songwriters. Come & Go is a summertime nostalgia bop and they have super riffy fast and chunky guitar parts. I wanted to see them on their tour opening for Like Pacific in 2016, but my Mom had surgery that day, then their headliner got cancelled, so I'm so glad I can finally see them.

Capstan: Fun blend of Pop-Punk and Post-Hardcore. Not even a smooth, it's either straight PostHardcore or technical Pop Punk with screaming. Not too big on them but I still would love to see them.

Chase Atlantic: Super good hip-hop influenced Indie/Alt Pop. I love them to death and I'm so happy I'll get to see them.

Doll Skin: Really hope I get to see them, they have such a cool colorful aesthetic, punk-influenced sound and agressive lyrics.

Don Broco: Super fun heavy-influenced pop-rock. Vocals are solid and 'You Wanna Know' is a total bop. Also incorporate electronics without it sounding forced.

Grayscale: Solid pop-punk. Great lyricism and they're able to walk the line between the rougher and smoother sides of pop-punk. Their guitar chordings and tones are super cool too.

Makeout: Generic 5SOS pop-rock, and their shitty acoustic woman-bashing song leaves an awful taste in my mouth. Very immature sound imo, but maybe they'll get better over time.

Palaye Royale: Good music I guess, but not really my thing.

Picturesque: Super solid post-hardcore. Sounds like a mixture of Slaves and SWS. Kyle's vocal range is unmatched and I love their bitter, sarcastic lyrical style.

Sleep On It: Love them to death, but their style started to get a bit formulaic and less interesting on Overexposed. The vocals are still amazing and they're really lyrically honest.

Story Untold: Fun but generic pop-rock. Not really much to say tbh.

Trash Boat: I like their sound, it's very hardcore-influenced pop-punk but I still think they lack some polish to break into the main pop-punk scene.

With Confidence: I like their emotional brand of polished pop-punk. They were the main reason I went to Warped in 2016 and Better Weather was the first album I ever bought with my own money. Emotional Vocals and catchy guitar work.

Someone asked Less Than Jake on their Warped Tour Livestream "Is Blink-182 playing" to which JR responded "Um, no they are not on the lineup, list thing"

That's a solid statement. Too bad I've missed them both. Finally getting to see the matches in July and hoping for the pink spiders once they get their new album out.

I’ll be at the Denver date

3oh!3 - I feel like they’d be fun to see, just for Don’t Trust Me, but only if I have time

Black Veil Brides - I like In the End, Fallen Angels and the Legacy, so maybe I’ll check them out if I have time also, but I’d be embarrassed watching them. I’ll have to put on sunglasses and a hat so no one recognizes me

Knuckle Puck - I like their sound, but I can’t really get into them. Like no song really sticks

Mayday Parade - too poppy and mellow for me, but Jaime All Over is good

Reel Big Fish - the band on the line up (that’s playing my date) that I’ve been into the longest but yet I’m not really excited for them. I guess I outgrew ska (minus LTJ and a few others) and I’ve seen them several times

State Champs - looking forward to them, one of my favorite modern pop punk bands

This Wild Life - not big into them at all, too mellow and whatnot

Waterparks - I kinda feel like each release has gotten less and less interesting to me. Mad All the Time and 11:11 are both catchy but nothing I would care to see live

Falling in Reverse - Ronnie is a douche but I like their music and show a lot, and I’m excited to see them again

Four Year Strong - the journeys band that I’m most excited to see!

Issues - Kinda the same situation as Knuckle Puck. I like their sound a lot and would be down to watch them if I had time but no song really sticks out enough to justify getting into them

The Maine/Movements/Real Friends/Tonight Alive/We the Kings - I respect all their sounds and styles but just can’t get into them

Simple Plan - kinda just wanna watch them for old times sake. ‘Twas simpler times.

The Used - I’d be down to watch them just for the old school hype but I can’t get into them

I wasn’t planning on doing any of these band-by-band commentary posts, but we have nothing really to talk about, I’m bored and we still have 3 months until the tour starts so might as well. Here’s my monster stages breakdown (no pun intended he-he)

The Amity Affliction - love them. I knew the song Pittsburgh but then i decided to check out more stuff when they were announced and they have a lot of great material!

Chelsea Grin - too heavy for me honestly. I can’t get into them, but I remember waiting to see (i believe Less Than Jake) in 2014 and they were playing on the next stage over and it looked fun and intense

Deez Nuts - I love their old school hardcore/nu metal sound, and I hope they get good crowds but I’ll skip them

Ice Nine Kills - suuuuper stoked for them, I always have to miss them every time they come to Albuquerque so I can’t wait to catch them at warped!

Kublai Khan - I don’t like them, but they were on my original prediction list despite never playing warped before. They deserve it definitely

Mychildren Mybride - tied with INK for favorite band on the Red Dawn stage. Never thought I’d see them!

Sharptooth - saw them with Anti Flag, such a great band. I’m glad they landed this gig!

Twizted - I kinda wish they got a different rapper for the tour, but I guess Twizted is better than getting Lil Xan or Ghostmane or something.

Wage War - good band but nothing I’d go out of my way to watch. They’ll definitely have a huge crowd this summer

Crown the Empire - probably my favorite band playing this year. I may be in the minority here, but I hope they play a lot from their new album, I think that’s their best work yet

Dayseeker - these guys are really good, I doubt I’ll have time in my busy schedule to watch them but if I do, I’ll be there. The sound of their snare drum makes me feel nostalgic for warped tour for some reason

Every time I Die - I’m ready to be attacked here, but I really don’t care for these guys. I would love to see them one day because of what I’ve heard about their show but I’ll skip

Hail the Sun - not feeling them at all, but they have talent for sure

Harms Way/In Hearts Wake - also not feeling either of them because their kinda just too cookie-cutter metalcore/hardcore

Motionless in White - really looking forward to them, I’ve been listening to them a lot lately

Nekrogoblikon - they were definitely a swing and a miss trying to appeal to the people that were excited for GWAR and Alestorm last year. I really wanna get into them but I can’t

Unearth - really good band but I’ll probably pass on them. Cool to see them playing warped though!

I really hope Mayday adds One Of Them Will Destroy the Other to their setlist this summer and have Dan sing with them

Mayday and Real Friends were both on the tour on that album cycle and didn't do that. I still don't get why.

I think it was an on and off thing. Dan came out during it on the Black Lines tour in Michigan.

True...but it would have been cool at Warped that year too. Maybe it'll happen this year!

That song in particular is incredible challenging vocally for Derek, plus it doesn't get too much of a crowd reception, even though it's a banger.

I doubt it'll make the cut for a 30 minute Warped set (especially with the prospect of new music on the horizon), but one can hope!

As It Is - They’re alright, but the singer sounds like Spongebob.

    Assuming We Survive - Indifferent.

Broadside - This band is so sick. Beyond hyped to see them.

Capstan - They’re okay. A little generic to my ears.

Chase Atlantic - This band is cool. Not huge into them but they’d be fun to watch.

    Doll Skin - Nothing special.

    Don Broco - Yuck.

Grayscale - Took me a while to get into these guys considering how I pretty much get into every pop-punk band instantly but they’re cool and I’ll check them out.

    Makeout - Yuck x2.

Palaye Royale - Not my thing.

Sleep On It - Saw these guys with FYS, been a fan ever since. They deserve to get huge.

Story Untold - I find the singer irritating.

Trash Boat - The song with Soupy is cool.

With Confidence - Big fan of these guys. Stoked to see them make a comeback. Probably the only band in the scene to actually hold themselves accountable. (Not trying to start a debate over this, I completely understand the adversity)

    Journeys Left Foot

3Oh!3 - Couple things, seeing this band is what restarted a friendship that turned into being best friends. Met them after one of the warped announcement shows and they were super nice. Finally, Double Vision is super underrated.

The Interrupters - I could see them on a Tony Hawk soundtrack. Liked what I heard, but probably wouldn’t go see them unless I had nothing going on.

Knuckle Puck - WHERES YOUR RESPECT? I like them. Good music and fun live show.

Mayday Parade - I’ve seen them 10 times now. Didn’t get to see them 2 years ago because my friend wanted to leave early... but yeah, can’t miss them.

Pennywise - Don’t dislike them, but wouldn’t go out of my way. They’re probably playing last, so I’d stay to see them.

Reel Big Fish - Super fun live show at Warped. Wouldn’t miss their set. I’d be pretty lame if they weren’t playing the last Warped, so I’m super glad their on.

State Champs - Of all the pop punk bands in their “class” I feel like I’m the only one of my friends that actually listens to them, but I really like their sound. Super fun!

This Wild Life - Never really dug into them, but when I’ve seen them live they were fun. Good break from all the bands I’ll be going crazy for.

Waterparks - Never listened to them before, but I’m digging it! I remember for a while they were on every Good Charlotte tour, and they never came to Orlando :/ but yeah, I’d see them.

    Journeys Right Foot

Issues - I’m a fan, but curious of what they’re gonna do now.

Less Than Jake - Same as Reel Big Fish, but more of wanting to see them. My love for this band formed from THUG 2 and the Digimon Movie.

The Maine - So glad I have them another chance. Years ago all I cared about was a cover they did of I Wanna Love You. Saw them with Mayday forever ago and they didn’t impress me and the crowd sucked. Then my friends and I saw them while leaving Warped one year and it was fantastic! Went to a headliner and it was 1000x better.

Movements - I’ve somehow seen them a few times. I live their live show, but never go out of my way to see them.

Real Friends - Really love them. Summer and Colder Quicker are so great.

Simple Plan - One of the bands that made me want to make this list. I just saw them on Sunday at Epcot and they’re so great. I saw them last year there too and they played What’s New Scooby-Doo? and I went off. Really nice dudes and I can’t help but smile when I see them.

Tonight Alive - I use to like them a lot, but haven’t been a big fan of their newer stuff. 2013 had a really touching moment at Warped. They were playing this sad but hopeful song while the sun was coming out after rain.

We The Kings - Only cared for them live at Warped. I’ve met them and saw them acoustic at a Macy’s and that was cool. Also Skyway>Check Yes.

I mean that's definitely an improvement on how he was singing before.

The song Dial Tones is one of the worst recorded vocal performances that's supposed to be serious
