I am glad Kevin has stepped up so much down the stretch. Finally shutting up the small contingent that have been questioning his ability.

I can't wait to see him in the finals. A couple of months ago I would have told you that I didn't care who won it between GS and CLE, but now I'm hardcore on the Cavs train.

Lowry is so good that his shortness does not limit him in the NBA regular season and he kills.
BUT he is just too short for playoff NBA. Every team has a long lock down defender for guards these days and this erases players like him and IT in a series.

 

Easy for me to armchair it when I don't have tons of money at stake, but my pride would not allow me to sit and watch my team get rolled up on. The Cavs are about to come in to Toronto and disrespect em. You have to at least go down swinging. Get a shot or two and get in there. If I'm walking I'm playing.

Edit: not the alcoholic shot.

 

I heard someone make an argument that in the regular season Lowry is going at his top level, that's it, he is there each night and gives it all. And all the other great players have another gear and they turn it on later in the season. I thought that was interesting to think about.

This feels so true but again I feel the same way about my beloved IT. Just kills us in the playoffs when they suddenly have to work twice as hard to even get contested shots off against longer defenders who are all locked into playoff mode.

I think he's either just hurt or still has some work to do with his conditioning when it gets this deep into the season/playoffs. Or both of those.

 

Not to get too deep into the weeds re: things only a few people will care about, but Stephen Silas is going to make a good head coach when he and a team decide it's time to make that leap. I hope Ewing gets an opportunity soon, but I think Silas will make a really nice HC for someone.
