Go and EITKM always change, but this how I feel today.

Recently, I found a flash drive with a video message about depression from Justin Pierre that a random anonymous user on Tumblr did for me. MCS played their school is what I was told, and they asked after the show. I never found out their identity, but I'll always be thankful for them.

I listened to it again like, last week? For the 10+ time, there's like 3-4 good songs and then zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Sorrrryyyyy. If I never hear Boxelder again in my life it'll be too soon

 

Box elder is a fave of mine :(

 

Yeh, I don’t mind Boxelder.

 

The verses are fine, I guess, but the "chorus" is poor and I really hate how he sings the word boxelder, maybe it's petty, but I really hate hearing it

 

Boxelder is one of my favs on Go

 

Alright regardless if you think MDL is their best or low tier or whatever, you gotta admit it has a god-tier album cover

Days Will Run Away hit particularly hard when you listen to everything at once. Such a perfect song to go out on.

 

"Everything Is Fine" shouldve been on Panic Stations. That song is way too good to be relegated to forgotten vinyl b-side

Just wanted to stop in here to say that the second verse of Where I Belong encapsulates everything I love about this band and music in general. Quirky, meaningful, how-did-he-make-something-so-wordy-so-catchy, lyrics.

It's chaos in the courthouse
And the left side's all upset

I try to mediate between this constant tug-o-war machine
But wind up in a never ending game of telephone
There's so much going on
And I just need seven minutes to calm myself back down

I feel like every song on EIIKM is like that, haha. I love it so much and I hope he brings some of that to his solo album.

 

Shot in the dark here: I had a profound experience this weekend that told me life is for living right now. Weird, but true.

One of the things I've wanted most to add to my vinyl collection is My Dinosaur Life. It's impossible to find in most places, and I am eager to find any version needing a new home. I'll pay market price because fair is fair. But the band has meant too much to my life to have an incomplete collection.

Please PM with any leads or if you have one you'd consider parting with. I promise you, I'll give it a good home - it'll join a complete collection of their other work, including special editions of CTTM and EIIKM. If it wasn't for this band, I wouldn't have met my wife, and we wouldn't have two kids whose births we announced like this:
